Ortisei - Val Gardena — Hotel in Salten-Schlern - Salto-Sciliar

Extremely disappointing experience – construction chaos at 6:30 a.m. every day

I rented an apartment in Ortisei for a long summer stay, expecting a peaceful and relaxing alpine escape – as it’s so widely advertised. Instead, I was met with daily construction noise starting at 6:30 in the morning, with hammers, machines, and shouting, right outside.

This is happening during high tourist season, and yet there seems to be zero enforcement of basic regulations. The legally allowed start time is 8:00 a.m., but no one is checking or stopping this.

I reported the situation to the police, municipality, and tourism office, with video evidence, and still – nothing changed.

It honestly feels like a place without rules or respect for visitors – far from the premium, well-managed destination they claim to be. If you're looking for rest, don’t come here. It's a chaotic and noisy mess that no serious tourist resort...

Overwhelmingly German, takes away the experience of being in Italy. The 1st language is not italian anymore. There are nice and polite Germans, those who say they come to italy and state that many Germans think it is part of their country. Well it is not. Why don't you advertise as Germany? At dinner and breakfast, 2 tables talking loud constantly, even for candlelight dinner, they do not respect others. The hotel owner does not do much about it or too late. What gives them the permission to think others are condemned to suffer hearing them but they do not like even a minute of phone? I contacted tourist office to share feedback and ask if there is an email for someone who cares about...

Very disappointing.Ortisei is an old village.Energy of the town is not like Corvara or Selva Wolkenstein lets say, the town next to Ortisei. Everything is far expensive compared to other ski resort who are far better in our opinion ..like Livigno,Mayrhofen,Hintertux,Serfaus Fiss Ladis, etc. Except Sella Ronda circle which is crowded and with 1m moguls all other places have 3 cable cars and 5 slopes. Prices are very high everywhere.I don't recommend Val Gardena.

P.S. This is only my opinion.Tastes differ. Not to be all bad as it is the bright spots are Plan de Graba...
