Alevic Hotel Sirmione — Hotel in Sirmione

Hotel a short walk from Sirmione old town which is pretty and very busy . Parking, restaurants and the lakeside are close to hotel should you not want to walk the 6 minutes into the old town area. First appearances of hotel are of a concrete building flanked on 2 sides by a large busy carpark. Inside much nicer .Its very clean, garden area quite large with seating and near the very nice bar area. A quite officious abrupt lady spoke to us at reception and after travelling all night we were quite surprised , however all other staff were friendly and welcoming. I needed more hangers for wardrobe and previous occupants had closed the safe and within 5 minutes of asking for help staff came. Our room was very clean , large bathroom and bedroom. Towels changed very often and daily cleaning. No issues with the room at all but balcony outlook was over entrance to car park which at times meant coach loads of holidaymakers passing by to walk into town. Location perfect in terms of close to old town but away from any cafe/shop noise, but outlook from many balconies was large carpark or road . |Pool on roof - again was a clean area and snacks available. Chairs/ parasols in good condition and towels from snack bar. |After being out for the day we had a drink in the bar and staff very friendly. Breakfast room clean and nice with mainly continental choice. |So,| In summary, the appearance of hotel was a grey concrete building with ground floor bar, garden and reception. 1st and 2nd floors bedrooms and 3rd floor pool .Outlook from many rooms was onto the carpark (my photos show carpark entrance at quiet time) but the interior public areas , friendliness and service of nearly all staff very good and bedrooms...

We had 6 days at this wonderful hotel and enjoyed every minute of it.||What’s not to like, great position, good pool, lovely breakfast and friendly and welcoming staff, along with onsite parking.||The hotel is just a 5 minute walk from the main ferry terminal, across the road from the Barracuda Restaurant and easy walking access to some of the other great restaurants and shops of the old town.||One great feature of the hotel is its outside garden breakfast area, complete with a neat eco cleaning system, sparrows, who are constantly picking up bread crumbs that fall on the tiles. ||The other standout is the rooftop pool, where you can partake in a swim, have a drink or have a light lunch, nothing is too much trouble for Fatima, who oversees the area.||I understand that the hotel will be going through some renovations during winter, so better book early for the summer of 2026, we definitely will.||We decided to get a train to Sirmione from Milan, the train station is actually in Desenzano del Garda, so coming in or going out, you need to get a taxi or Uber from |there to Sirmione, or vice versa.||Our next destination was Bologna, so instead of catching a taxi to Desenzano del Garda, then changing trains in either Milano or Verona, we opted to get a taxi from the hotel to Verona station and cut out the hassle a change of trains.||The trip from Sirmione to Verona was only about 50 minutes and Verona is a much easier station to travel through than Milano Centrale. ||Lastly, thank you to the front desk staff that booked a mini van for us to...

Would not recommend if you want to be able to plan anything ahead of time. I say this as we were not even able to stay at the hotel, due to them cancelling on us through whatsapp (?) less than 24 hours before our stay. In “compensation” they would offer us a welcome drink, but we would have to pay 30 euro extra pr. night for a room at one of their other hotels. Hence, they would just be making more money off of us, because of their mistake. What was the mistake, you may ask? A “technical issue”, take from that what you wish. Also, in the whatsapp message, they told US to cancel the room, for some reason they did not want to do it. Confused, we tried calling, but were met with a text saying “no, just text”. Even more confused, we called booking.com. In contrast to Alevic-whatsapp-employee, they were helpful, and confirmed that we were in fact getting cancelled on.
