I embarked on a culinary odyssey at this restaurant, and it turned into an epic saga of waiting! Picture this: we waited for a whopping 45 minutes, as though the chef was recreating the invention of bruschetta from scratch! When our much-anticipated bruschettas finally graced our table, they looked like they had survived a fire-breathing dragon. It was a culinary adventure where haste was the secret ingredient.
To add some spice to this tale, I must mention that I had to track down our order like a detective on a mission. Three times, I waved down waitstaff as though I were summoning a genie from a lamp, all while sipping our drinks at the speed of light.
The climax of this gastronomic saga was the bill. Lo and behold, a mysterious €3 per person cover charge appeared. Now, I don't usually mind these cover charges, but this time, I felt like I was paying for the privilege of being in a comedy sketch. So, I decided to stage a little rebellion against the establishment and refused to pay, given the culinary rollercoaster we had just endured.
Our waiter, bless his heart, decided to channel his inner stand-up comedian. He suggested we should have opted for a meal at McDonald's instead. Well, let me tell you, after this experience, I couldn't agree more! Even Ronald McDonald himself would have given this place a better rating.
In the end, my dear readers, if you're seeking a dining experience that combines suspense, burnt bruschettas, and a waiter with a knack for comedy, this restaurant might be just the place for you. As for me, I'll be heading to the nearest Golden Arches for a taste of culinary...
Read moreTerrible and painful experience – unfortunately!
I visited this charming-looking place with my daughter, but unfortunately, the treatment I received from some of the male waiters was extremely rude and disrespectful. After we ordered, one of them came over and insisted that I leave the table because, as he claimed, “this table is not for ice cream.” He spoke in a harsh and impolite way, making me feel completely unwelcome.
What hurt even more was that other people were eating ice cream at nearby tables, and no one asked them to leave. I asked to speak to the manager, but no one responded or took any action. The situation was so humiliating that I ended up crying from how badly I was treated — something I’ve never experienced before.
I truly don’t understand why people without any sense of courtesy or basic decency are hired to deal with customers.
I want to thank the kind young woman who tried to calm me down. She was the only one who showed a bit of humanity.
I will not come back, and I would never recommend this...
Read moreThe pizzeria bar has a nice location right next to the castle but having drinks here was a really bad decision we made. Staff wasn’t very friendly even though I tried to be polite and speak a little Italian (maybe this was what upset them 🤷♀️ or maybe the fact we are not Germans…). We wanted only a few drinks after a long time sightseeing and since we saw “bar” we didn’t feel obligated to have a dish. Some families sitting there were having also just drinks so we felt it’s a right place to refresh ourselves. We didn’t get any snack with our drinks as usual at any other restaurant. Then they let us waiting for 45min. without coming or asking if we wanted to pay or get something else. My husband asked them if we could pay but he stayed ignored. I had to leave with our dog and during my leaving I told the waiter we wanted to pay. He made a face like as if I was bothering him. I think there are many restaurants at Sirmione so I recommend to go...
