We booked one night here as a stopover on our way to a rental apartment for the week and we left wishing that the we could stay for the rest of the time that we were in Sicily! Rita and Luigi made us feel like friends rather than paying guests, and nothing was too much trouble for them. The room we booked was the family triple, and was spotlessly clean, huge, and had all the amenities we needed. The location is perfect for all the Taormina attractions and is an easy walk to pretty much anywhere in the town. The wonderful breakfast Luigi prepared for us was better than most five star hotels we have stayed in, and Rita has a brilliant sense of humour. The steps leading to the Arco dei cappuccini were no problem at all, and Rita's recommendation for dinner was excellent. There was a small problem with the local water supply ( not the B & B's fault ) but they went out of their way to make our one night special and offered us a discount even though we would have happily paid full price! Read morePros: Very pleased with our entire stay. Rita and Luigi were professional and very accommodating. Best breakfast so far, as Luigi is a Chef... absolutely sensational. He even packed delicious finger foods for us, as we had to depart early for the airport. The room/bathroom are large, bed is comfortable, very clean, refrigerator, fast & free internet, and there is a large comfortable terrace. They even offer a bottle of wine in the room for 10 Euro.||||Cons: There are several steps up from the free shuttle bus drop off point to the property.||||Notes: Park at the Lumpi Public Parking Garage. You will get a ticket when you enter and pay a cashier (cash or credit card) when you depart, about 15 Euro for one night. Take the elevator to the ground floor. A free shuttle bus stops every 3 minutes. Get off at 1st stop and call Rita for directions or use google maps for walking directions. You are very close to the property...
Read moreWonderful hostess and lovely room. Rita contacted us before our arrival to check we were ok with directions. Then greeted us with the most wonderful warm smiles. The location, room etc were all A*, however Rita's personality made it special for us. Not to mention the best breakfast ever, cooked by her chef husband! Fresh pastries, Fruit salad, fine omelettes rolled up on skewers, all sorts of freshly cooked delicious food. ||The room was large, double plus a single bed. Fridge. Good size bathroom with fluffy towels and lovely scented shower gel and shampoos. Water in fridge and a reasonable priced bottle of good wine in the room. Great attention to detail. Also my husband left his reading glasses and Rita took the time to take them to post office and send them on to us. Thank you Rita and Luigi for a...
