Ca' de la Fonte — Hotel in Venice

Very clean and very well located 15 minutes from San Marco and 5 minutes from Rialto. In 2 minutes you arrive at the Fondamente Nove steam station and in 7 minutes at Ca 'd'Oro. It is two minutes from the main road that crosses Venice from the train station to the San Marco market. I received by email the exact route from the two steam stations to the hotel Ca 'D'Oro from there being accompanied by the staff from the reception to the location. Very friendly staff, attentive to any request, cleaning is done daily with towels changed and once every two days changed linen. In the room there is an electric kettle and at the accommodation you will find 4 packs of ness, sugar, milk for coffee, tea bags, 2 cans of natural mineral water 2 and salt. Moist, mildew smell when sleeping. Could hear everything from other rooms, felt like no insulation! Also bathroom counter space or area in shower to place toiletries. Window coverings were not adequate and had gaps where others in the walkway could look through. Weird door coming into our room we had no access too but also no lock to on our side. Was told only the cleaning lady could enter into the room this door led to and that the other door she entered was locked? Very creepy! Looked like there were once stairs to the door but now none. Very weird!

TV placement was weird as well. Remote power on didn't work. Also the gate exit sensor didn't work.

Beautiful accommodation in a quiet area of Cannaregio. Check in is at the Hotel ca d'oro which is situated less than a 5 minute walk away. We booked a suite and it far exceeded our expectations (room 24). This had a beautiful outdoor veranda which was so quiet. Attention to detail was beautiful with paintings on the walls and modern facilities. Towels and slippers were included as well as rea, coffee and shampoo and shower gel.
