八 ( Hachi ) Accommodation — Hotel in Fujikawaguchiko

• air-conditioned cosy aesthetic lobby with charging ports

• big fridge, free coffee and tea and paper cups, hot and cold water dispenser, microwave and oven

• free good quality bikes to borrow (big, big plus!!! the bikes were so helpful in getting around. u can even borrow them while waiting for check-in at 3pm)

• cosy japanese-style rooms with strong aircon. but none of the room windows face mt fuji

• friendly and helpful owners, fluent in english, gives you thorough recommendations of what to do around here & tips/advice for what you have planned to do already

• clean gender-neutral toilets (but no bidets)

• ¥900 breakfast meals (order at the receptionist before 8pm the night before)

• 2 laundry machines, ¥500 for a washer and dryer cycle

• ~5 minute walk to a LAWSON konbini for quick meals and groceries, several restaurants

Soooo happy, the hostel is very convenient, the bus stop literally in front of the place Staf very informative, sign self explanatory (english available), the bike is available to use for free!, though they’re quite strict with check in/check out time but its not a problem for me.

At first I was shock the bathroom is kinda a hot spring place, a big one for three people, but i still can lock and use it to shower for my own (in private)

Oh perhaps for a fellow muslim especially if you’re woman, ensure whether you can get a woman only room or not, because you’ll get 3 random customers that will be your roommate I’m lucky that the other customers are also travelers with warm ambience and polite in some way, it’s a pleasure experience to stay here (in summer) idk in other season

Small things that I noticed: the towel, it can easily absorb and has smooth texture haha and they have Type C USB in the plug as well, help me a lot

You can walk to the lake Kawaguchiko from the hotel, or walk to the Kawaguchiko station even the famous Lawson. It is also nearby a mosque, walkable.

Also I think there are options for Fuji view for some room type (?), though if you are a solo traveller you can still get the view in the common room. All in all, very fulfilling and enjoyable experience to stay here, hope I can go to Fuji and stay here again!...

We enjoyed so much! Everything is great and higher than our expectations! Rooms and common area are very clean and comfy, additionally, this place offers a very unique and traditional Japanese shower room. Bonus features include free bike rentals at the front yard, you can just help yourself and borrow it anytime you wish!(we were riding at 12am to the river pone. The view over to Mt Fuji was spectacular🥹 Additionally, you can see the Fuji mountain at the common area🤩
