Dino DINER — Restaurant in Fujikawaguchiko

I don’t normally write reviews, but there are so many great things about this place, I had to. My son (9yo) and I are in Fuji Q highlands visit from the USA. He really wanted a hamburger and so I chose to go to the place within 2 miles from our hotel. As soon as we got inside, we realized we have to take our shoes off and sit on the floor. We liked this authentic atmosphere . My son was so tired from traveling all day from Osaka that he literally fell asleep on the table. Before he fell asleep , I had ordered a kamikaze, which was a perfectly made cocktail. The food came ( we ordered burgers) and my burger was one of the best I’ve ever had. The fries are excellent as well. It was time to take my son home so I tried to get in touch with a taxi. I would have to wait an hour to go 1.7 miles. The manager had someone drive us to our hotel. They would not accept any money for this huge favor. I can’t get over how sweet everyone was and everything was perfect and accommodating. Thank you so much for getting my tired boy home! To say this place is good would be an understatement. The ingredients are fresh (you can tell by the taste!) & locally sourced and the mayonaise is one of a kind as it is made in house! I recommend getting the chicken burger as it is fried perfectly (no greasy taste, and very juicy chicken). I have yet to see another place like this. The food is superb, the atmosphere is unique, but what truly tops this place off is the service. You will be served by the most sweetest, hardworking staff/owners there is. Dino Diner truly made an impression on my boyfriend and I during our stay in Mt.Fuji, that we traveled back to the place from Tokyo to experience it one more time!!! Nice place for burger and fries. The patty is seasoned and tasted like a Hamburg patty instead of a hamburger party, which was pretty interesting! And good! Each burger comes with a slice of bacon, a thick slice of tomato, a piece of red leaf lettuce, a piece of grilled onion, and some sauce accompanied by a handful of fries. The avocado topping is very generous and beautifully plated -- it is thinly sliced and arranged on top of the burger. It was so large I had to use a knife and fork to eat it. :)

They have an outdoor patio with three tables so you can eat with your pet dog. They have some plastic covering on the sides which helps shield you from the wind -- much appreciated!
