I have not stayed at this hotel but I was extremely grateful to the help and hospitality that one of their staff - Toyama, have given us. My family were in Kawaguchi on 2nd Jun and we were met with bad weather (heavy rain and strong wind) due to the typhoon. We were trying to find our way to the hotel that I had booked and were quite lost. It was raining heavily and the wind was so strong that it overturned and spoilt one of our umbrella. We were drenched and my child was trembling from the rain and cold. We decided to walk in to the nearest hotel to see if they have room for the night instead of trying to find our way to the hotel that we had booked in advance. And it was Kawaguchiko Park Hotel that we walked in. The staff at the reception, Toyama, after finding out that we did not make any room reservations with them, seeing that we were totally drenched, offered us 3 big towels for us to dry ourselves. She found out that the hotel that we had booked was actually very far away from their hotel, had taken the initiative to help us to call the hotel and arrange for them to come over to pick us up. My family were extremely grateful to her for the help and hospitality that she had given us even though we did not make any room reservations with them. I will definitely make room reservations with them the next time I go...
Read moreMy husband and I stayed here for 3 nights during our recent trip to Japan. Location is good as it's a very short walk to the Yamanashi Gem museum, one of the stops for the Red and Green Loop Shuttle buses. If you are up to it,you can even walk in less than 20 minutes to the Kawaguchiko Station, which is what we did because we wanted to catch the first train to Chureito Pagoda.||Staff, especially the gentleman at the reception, are extremely helpful, pleasant and obliging. Breakfast served was Japanese style, which was delicious and very generous. They even changed our breakfast to Western style on the third morning to give us some variety. Much appreciated!||The hotel and rooms are a little dated but well-maintained. Although we had paid for a small Japanese style room, we were upgraded to a larger room at no charge. Toiletries provided are so nice, come in 2 different brands! We also tried their onsen, which was clean and adequate, with a little outdoor onsen.||It was such a relief to be offered complimentary shuttle service to the station when we checked out. All in all, we loved our stay here and will not hesitate to...
