For English speakers, they do a sheet here with some basic guidance on some of the treasure hunts you can do. The museum section is small but you can see different stones for free and you can buy different kinds. The key attraction here is doing the treasure hunt digging for the stones and finding the gems. There are activities for kids as young as 3 years up to adults. For kids depending on which program you do you can find an activity as low as 1100 yen for 30 mins. Depending on the gems you want to find the price will differ. Not sure which one the adults did but during the time there it was announced one of the adults found a diamond. Whatever you find you get to keep.
Probably can spend about 60-90 mins here. Fun place and great for kids. Great area indoor and outdoor for kids to dig for the stones. Adults you can get a tray to sift through smaller sanda to find tiny gems.
Stuff in the museum has an English title but that's about it and it's just self guided. Also you may need to get assistance from the ticket booth for whichever treasure hunt you are wanting to do. Staff is there to help though.
All in all great place to visit and spend time for an hour or two. Great for kids and the staff here are...
