Great location but the filthiest hotel I have ever stayed in. All public areas were unvacuumed, all bins in the public areas and drying room were overflowing for days. Our drying area was full of other peoples returned rental ski gear for days… this was the same for subsequent arrivals. Under the seats of the drying rooms were used shoes and rubbish which has now been there for six days. The apartment was booked for six people but we only had 5 wine glasses and 5 forks for the entire stay.???
Two years ago a review said basically the same thing- we had hoped they had changed- apparently not:
Let’s be clear this is a hostel not a hotel! We stayed here for one week and the room was comfortable and the location was convenient for skiing but nothing else. In regards to the service, it was terrible!! The whole hotel is run by 20 year old Australians with no senior management. They were more interested in socialising with each other than offering any kind of customer service. When we arrived the receptionist did not offer us any information on the hotel or the mountain. We weren’t even shown where to put our ski gear. Also the staff were unable to address any questions or queries we had regarding the area. Everyday they ‘cleaned’ our room however all they did was change the towels and toilet paper - they didn’t even bother to straighten up the bed. Also a warning for people with children, the bass from the rabbit hole bar vibrates the whole hotel until around 11pm. Definitely not a luxury hotel...

The bed was large, super comfortable with a quality duvet and pillows. The adjoining restaurant The Rabbit Hole was amazing for breakfast, lunch and dinner (western food). The management was absolutely fantastic- they were responsive to our needs, solved a few minor problems efficiently and provided an excellent shuttle service to and from the bus terminal. The dry room downstairs was great for ski storage and there was a complimentary washer and dryer. The hotel itself was mediocre. The windows were poorly insulated and so the room felt cold (grateful for the cozy duvet!). The bathroom, which is a plastic cubicle, was tiny and the toilet seat was cold. BUT, because all the other aspects of our stay were so amazing (the location, restaurant and staff), we were willing to overlook these shortcomings and still had...
