Booking this place was a mistake. Maybe it's because it's my first capsule hotel, or maybe it's because I can't sleep when it's hot, there is no room for a 24 inch suitcase in the locker area. They will store it at the front but that doesn't take away from the fact that you now have to ask the check in desk every time you need to get something from your bag. The capsule pods is more like a sauna than a sleeping area. I may even book somewhere else simply for more convenience which is not financially a good idea being in Japan for 3 months. In retrospect booking a hostel would probably offer much more convenience and comfort for me personally.
Edit: I went through and booked 2 sets of different hotels late last night as it got even more hot in the bunk, the pocket wi fi I use for the trip won't get service in the bunk/pod. People are constantly making noise walking by, or coughing in their bed, or dropping things. I am paying anywhere from x3-x4 of the price of this capsule hotel to book an actual hotel and hostel in hopes that there is a chance that today and the next two days I can get more than 3 hours of sleep. The pillows are those Japanese bean bag type pillows so they are extremely uncomfortable. I vow to never stay in a capsule hotel again after this experience. It was the worst sleep (if you can call it sleep) I received in a 3 month trip to Japan.
The only convenient thing about this place is that it is across the street from Hiroshima Station but even still its mixed in with random establishments restaurants. And it makes it even more random that it is on...
Read moreThe hotel location was strategic, just opposite of Hiroshima JR station, very happening area, surrounding by many restaurants, department stores (i.e. ASSE, Fukuya, Big Camera etc) However, you may find difficult to find the hotel at first, as the location was bit tricky, it actually situated at second floor, inside the building called Full Focus. Once alight from Hiroshima JR station or Hiroshima tram station, look for Fukuya department store, the Full Focus building just next to it. ||The capsule was really great, there was tv inside the capsule with the headphone provided. The bed was comfy, the amenities was completed, the shower room was spacious too. Locker was provided to keep your valuable stuffs, if you need space for bigger backpack or luggages, there were designated storage area too. The staffs were friendly and polite. ||Good choice and...
Read more😊: Capsules were large and comfortable and surprisingly quiet given the location shares a floor with a karaoke bar! Worth taking earplugs though - some noise from people coming and going is inevitable at this style of hotel.
Bathroom and laundry facilities clean and plentiful. Common area with a range of free drinks and icecream was also great. Free breakfast was essentially a variety of pre-packaged pastries - not a complete breakfast but good enough to get you going.
Amazing okonomiyaki food court on the 5th or 6th floor of the building as well.
Location is exceptional - access to all the transport options and shopping from Hiroshima station, an underground bike garage right nearby, convenience stores, restaurants etc etc.. 😢: Would have been nice to be able to dim the light in the capsule - it was either on...
