Stayed in a lot of hostels but my sleep here was by far one of the worst I’ve ever had: the mattresses were rock hard; noise and light was a massive issue (no signs anywhere from management asking guests to keep quiet after a certain hour); and the temperature was too hot, despite an air conditioner (not turned on!).
The novelty of “Scandinavian” design wore off after the first five minutes.
On the plus side, the showers - despite being on a different floor - were good.
Overall, not worth the price. Hope they at least put up signs, near the dormitories, to remind other guests...

I thoroughly enjoyed our time staying at Mange Tak, all the staff were very friendly and helpful.
The hostel was very clean, showers were great, and the beds had plenty of space.
A big shout out to Saki for being an incredible person, you made our time in Hiroshima most memorable and it ended up being our favorite place to visit!
Special Mentions: Minami, Russel and Niels - you are all amazing.
We will definitely come back to stay here again on our next visit to Japan.

Read moreThis was probably one of the best gesthouse I had ever done. This place has everything you're looking for. To start with, the staff was soooo kind. They speak English and Japanese.
The place was extra clean. There was soap and shampoo in the shower, cotton pads near the sink, washing machine and they lend you a towel. Sleeping was truly amazing. The bed was large and there was air conditioning, not too hot, not too cold : just perfect.
The best part is that it only cost me 3000¥ the night ! I would definitely...
