Don't be fooled by the high ratings. Look at all the BAD ratings...more accurate. The food was alright but nothing special. The male staff took our order. We tried to order by pointing to the items on the English menu. He pretended to not understand, so we showed him the same items on the Japanese menu. Then he abruptly interjected and shushed us. He told us not to interrupt while he's taking our order. He brought us a tiny glass of cold water each. Waited 30 minutes for the food. No one came to offer us water refills. We finally had to order an appetizer, which came within minutes. This restaurant seems to make diners wait so they'll order more drinks and appetizers. The KuroYakis and ShiroYakis finally came, but not at the same time...staggered over 15+ minutes. That's almost an hour for 3 Okonomiyakis. The soba and udon were crispy and burnt. The meat was fatty and under-cooked. The batter was overcooked and practically impossible to cut. No one came to check if we needed anything or if we enjoyed our dinner. The restaurant is very smoky from the burning oil, grease, mayo, and cheese. We were ready to leave. Instead of giving us the itemized bill, the female staff showed us the wireless Rakuten payment machine with the bill total. We are only given the itemized receipt after paying. No surprise that they overcharged us. Maybe they scam Japanese diners too. 🤷🏻♀️ If you do not speak Japanese, avoid this restaurant like the plague. You'll be targeted like lambs to slaughter. We will definitely NOT be returning... fooled me once...
Read moreThe highlight of the meal was, of course, the okonomiyaki. While it may not have been the most extraordinary rendition of the dish I've ever tasted, it was certainly enjoyable. The pancake was cooked well, with a nice balance of ingredients that included fresh cabbage, savory bits of pork, and a generous drizzle of okonomiyaki sauce and mayonnaise. It was a satisfying meal, both in portion size and flavor.
What made the experience memorable was the effort put into the presentation and the service. The chefs clearly took pride in their cooking, and it was evident in the neat presentation of the dish. The price point was also reasonable, making it a good option for a casual dining experience.

Eating here was a new experience as a tourist because you can see the food being prepared and the food is warmed on a table sized skillet that you sit at.
