What a great boutique-style hotel, in a super convenient location. The reception was incredibly thoughtful: the receptionist encouraged me to sit down in their lobby/lounge area where she went over things and took my information (passport, address). I was even treated with a warm welcome beverage. Since the hotel doesn't have a kitchen for making breakfast, they had suggestions for both Japanese and western style breakfast places in the vicinity. The room itself was immaculate in its cleanliness, and very spacious. The lighting and decor choices were great. The location was right next to the main train station (7 minute walk), and well connected to the tram/light rail system that takes you to most of the best parts of town. I also greatly appreciated the fact that they offered both cold and hot filtered drinking water on tap in the lobby, with pitchers to take to your room. If you carry a water bottle around like I do, you'll appreciate this as it seems more...
Read moreRooms are huge by Japanese standards. Plus, they are so cozy too. Staff was always very welcoming and polite with pretty good English skills to boot. Loved the shower/bath combo too; it was so relaxing. Plus, since the hotel is just a 10 minute walk to Hiroshima station and 20 minutes to Peace Memorial Park, you've access to everything big in Hiroshima. This place is an absolute gem and if you're visiting the city, you should definitely stay here.
Only complaint was that there was only one relatively small pillow per bed. (Now, we did not ask for another which probably could have been provided). It did not bother us, but this is a small hotel, only 4 stories with about 3 rooms per floor. So, you aren't going to get a fitness center, included breakfast, and the like. Not that we personally missed any of that, but if you're looking for something a bit more all-inclusive, then this probably...
Read moreThis hotel is close to Hiroshima station, pretty big room, clean and convenient. The stuff are friendly and nice. BUT, first, there is a couple steps in front of the front door that is a little annoying if you have big suitcase. At check in, the lobby was super hot and it took us only 5min but we were sweating and that wasn’t good start. The bathroom in the room, there is a faucet in the bathroom but no hand soap, no place to hang towel. The room has no drawer, so I don’t know where people put their clothes. Motion sensor lights are little annoying when you woke up at middle of night and went to bathroom. The bathroom vanity wasn’t big enough to put makeup stuff or even contact lenses. It’s a great hotel but it...
