Toyoko Inn Hiroshima-eki Shinkansen-guchi — Hotel in Hiroshima

Hotel is not big. Room is not big but it is fully equipped. Room looks new n is very clean. Housekeeping though is every 4 days but they provide clean towels n trash bag in plastic bag n hang it at room door. All staff from parking staff, front desk n kitchen staff were all very friendly. English is adequately understood. Mechanical lift car park service is provided by hotel at ¥1000 per day. It was quite nervous to manoeuvre the car into the tight spaced garage. 2nd night, car was mechanically park incorrectly. This part was rather troublesome as the hotel had to call the car lift company to fix the error. Other parking areas nearby available too. Free breakfast at lobby is various types of onigiri, miso soup n 1 more soup (french onion/ mushroom). Location is perfect, short walk to so many restaurants, departmental store, supermarket, convenient stores. First time tried this hotel n it’s really good. Just like other Toyoko Inns, the rooms and facilities are exactly the same, so there's nothing unexpected about what this hotel has to offer. The location is very good and near to the shinkansen section of Hiroshima station. Reception staff service is also very good and although they cannot speak English very well, the staff would speak into the ipad and have what they say translated to me and I will do the same. ||||Hotel breakfast starts only at 7am and there are many people including businessmen who need to swallow a quick breakfast before heading out, so the crowd actually builds up at the restaurant seating area from 6.45am onwards and about 5 mins to 7 they start to queue. A great economical place with free Japanese breakfast. The rooms are compact but efficient -- clean and comfortable with enough space for working on laptop computers.
