We booked two separate rooms connected by a door, and you’ll need room cards as keys. Each room has a bunk bed and two single beds, with a large wooden closet between them for storage. There's also a television between two couches and a table, making it ideal for relaxing during breaks. The rooms are equipped with essential kitchen appliances like a microwave, fridge, and electric kettle, which is convenient for basic needs. The bathroom is modern and comfortable, though the toilet is in a separate room. Housekeeping services are available in the morning, and if you're hungry, you can order breakfast and pick it up at the front desk. I loved the rooms and will definitely stay here again on my next visit to Kyoto.
In terms of nearby amenities, I enjoyed the gym located on the lobby floor, and there’s a smoking room nearby. You can also store your luggage in a designated room on the same floor, which is convenient if you arrive before check-in. The hotel offers additional facilities such as kids’ rooms and vending machines, great for both children and adults. I look forward to using the entertainment section and the rooftop terrace on my next visit.
On our first day, we encountered a few challenges, but a staff member, who spoke fluent English, was incredibly helpful. They explained the hotel manual in detail and even assisted us in contacting our previous Uber driver. The staff were consistently polite and welcoming, greeting us warmly each time we entered or left the hotel. Additionally, the hotel promotes eco-friendliness by not providing disposable items like flip-flops, toothbrushes, and skincare products. You can request the exact amount you need, and they’ll provide them. You can also rent various items, such as vacuum cleaners, scales, toasters, rice cookers, irons, and more.
The hotel is conveniently located, just a short walk from Gojō Station. There's also a large supermarket right in front of the hotel and a convenience store across the street. I highly recommend this place—thanks,...
Read moreWhile this hotel may not have been right in the middle of everything, it was a very quick bus ride away to Gion and a taxi ride over to Kiyomizu-dera. We really loved this hotel. Check-in was smooth and friendly English speakers. The lobby had amenities you can take back to your room and things like iron, etc you can borrow from the front desk. We stayed in room 309 and while there was a weird cow dung stench in the hallway, the room was fabulous. It had 6 beds, 2 of which was a bunk, a huge hit with the kids. The common area had basically 2 dining areas with sliding doors to close off the beds area if needed. It also had 2 toilets! The small kitchen also had everything you'd need, as well as a large fridge for plenty of food and drinks. The main bathroom was spacious with toilet and shower with separate doors that can close off for more privacy. The room also has great AC, a humidifier, and a large safe that can fit my standard laptop.||The hotel itself had an entertainment room which seems to be always locked, a laundry room with plenty of machines which we never had to wait even wth the hotel completely full. There was also a gym which I was able to use, which had full dumbbell set, a cable machine and cardio machines, all in a small room but sufficient. There was also a kids room with vending machine and mats for kids to play on and books for them to read. The vending machines were a bit expensive so I would just go to the grocery store around the corner or across the street to a row of cheaper...
