Live Max Kyotokamogawamae Hotel — Hotel in Kyoto

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Hotel LiVEMAX Kyoto, and I must say, it was an exceptional experience from start to finish! Firstly, the location is fantastic, nestled in the heart of Kyoto, making it easy to explore the city’s beautiful temples, gardens, and vibrant neighborhoods. Being just a short distance from public transportation, I found it incredibly convenient for sightseeing.The room was clean, featuring all the amenities I needed for a comfortable stay. The bed was cozy, providing a great night's sleep after a long day of exploring. 1-3 Oct. 2024 If you have another choice, don't choose this Live Max! The location was good, a train station, cafes and shops nearby (5 or less min walking). The staff was friendly. But the room felt a little dirty with stained carpets; seriously, the inside of the toilet was dirty with... 💩 (sorry I forgot taking pics), hair and mold on shower curtains. Dust and smelly window curtains. I was in a hurry for a 'last minute reservation' and made it at this hotel, because of the price and location. When arrived, they told that there was ONLY one room, but it was a "smoking room", and we couldn't open the window or have incense... so it was awful smelly. 🚬 Below the bed, lots of furrballs...

I interacted with three different members of the staff and none were nice or helped in any way. The whole hotel has a terrible smell, not only my room. In the rooms they give you different brochures, including one prepaid sim that they “offered”, but when asked about it, they haven’t sold those since 2018. You can’t leave your luggage after you check out if you wish to spend some more hours in Kyoto, which is the first hotel in the world to deny this option to me.
