Momohana-an Machiya — Hotel in Kyoto

Great location, super close to the main downtown, but tucked away from all the noise. We booked this place for a family vacation. There were 5 us and we all had plenty of space to spread out. Check in was super easy, English speaking staff were super helpful, and the luggage delivery was definitely a plus! We were able to leave our luggage with the check in team at 10 am, who later delivered it to our rental so we were able to explore Kyoto without having to haul around our luggage until our actual check in time, 3 pm. Rental itself was super cute with little details that we definitely appreciated, amenities bag per person, waters, tea, and coffee from a small local roastery. Laundry onsite was also super helpful, and much appreciated. Located super close to lots of shopping, the Nishiki Market and the Shijo-Ohashi bridge. Would definitely recommend and...

The rooms were clean, the unit very well equipped, including free WiFi.

During an after hours medical emergency, the 2 staff members ordered an Ambulance, and came to the hospital to act as interpreters. Stayed with us until it was time to leave and ensured the taxi had the address to take us home. Above and beyond. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Excellent location for transportation, restaurants and shopping areas, although some might want to be east of the River.
