KABIN Koji — Hotel in Kyoto

I’m really glad I chose this hotel for my Kyoto trip. The building has a modern design both inside and out, and it’s very high-tech, you can even check in ahead of time and check out through their app. The room felt quite spacious by Japan standards, we could fully open our large suitcases without blocking the walkway.

I also liked the separate areas for brushing teeth and for shower + WC, which made it easier and faster for us to get ready.

We stayed in room 407 and it was great. Hotel is new, clean and has everything you need. Location was very convenient, Internet worked great, had a great shower, and check-in through the app was very easy. Only issue is the air conditioning blows straight into the bed. Not a great design and even when I changed the settings to blow straight down, it would reset in the middle of the night and blow straight into the bed again. I stayed at the accommodation for over 10 days, moving between two rooms. The room with a shower was much better, with stronger water pressure than the one with a bathtub. The air conditioning in the room tends to be too strong, and the air quality isn't great, but the weekday rates are good, and the co-working space is a plus, making the overall experience very satisfying.
