Sekai Soko — Restaurant in Kyoto

This is a hidden gem of a cafe located between Gion Shijo and Kiyomizu Gojo stations. It’s a few blocks off of the major streets of Kyoto so it’s a nice quiet place to chill out. While the entrance is a traditional Japanese building, one you enter into what was once a Japanese garden courtyard, the inner building is actually a very stylish modern one with a matching interior. The coffee and cakes are very good and the cafe itself is quite large, so this is a good place to relax when you’re tired out from the crowds of tourists in Kyoto. I stumbled across this little spot as I was walking down the street. As I went inside it was practically empty and now after experiencing how delicious this place is, I feel bad because it’s hidden behind another Japanese building out of view of pedestrians. It definitely deserves 5 stars as it is very very good! I got the NY Grilled Cheese and the hot cocoa both were simply delicious. I highly recommend this place for people hungry after a long day of walking around Kyoto.

高価格なのに残念なドーナツ

古民家の門を潜った先ある、 倉庫を改装した？カフェ

店内の雰囲気が面白そうで、 ずっと気になっていた店。

2階が壁天井一面真っ白で独特な雰囲気

メニューはありきたりなものが多いので カフェ好きで色んなところを巡る人には 物足りないかも。。

建物や雰囲気は良いけど、 それ以外での魅力はないかな。 リピ無し確定です。

【感想】 ◆ドーナツ プレーンのドーナツ。 ドーナツというより揚げパン。

給食とかで出てきそうなやつ パンに砂糖がまぶされている

なんか添加物みたいな匂いが気になった。 こだわりは無さそう。食べる価値なしです。

これで500円は高すぎ。ぼったくりです。 なぜこんな価格になったのでしょうか？？ 不思議ですね。

金土日限定の販売らしいけど、 そんなもったいぶるほどのものじゃない。

朝コーヒーしか飲んでいなかったので 何かお腹に入れたいなと思ったけど、 どのスイーツもありきたりで、 目を惹くものが無かったので、 最近ハマっているドーナツを 消去法で選びました。

◆ホットラテ 美味しかったです！ 他に気になるドリンクが無かったのと この後美味しいコーヒーを 飲む予定があったので、 カフェイン抑えめにしました。 普段ラテは飲みませんが 美味しくいただけました。
