As others have noted , this hotel's location next to JR Nara Station cannot be beat. Literally only 3 minutes walk to the train and busses with easy access to all that Nara has to offer. Quite affordable. Handy to the supermarket in the station. Very nice onsen on the first floor (please note that those with tattoos are not allowed). Adequate breakfast with the emphasis on Japanese dishes. || A word about the room: this may have been the smallest I have ever had in Japan. The whole hotel smelled like smoke, the staff were kind but unaccommodating (my mother asked for an extra pillow and they would not provide one. Every other hotel had fulfilled her request except this one). The price was also very high for what we got. I’ve stayed in much nicer hotels for less money. We ended up checking out a day early. I don’t recommend this hotel unless you’re desperate. It’s next to the train station, so...
