Our family of 4 stayed 3 nights in a very compact Japanese-style room with 3 futons and a bunk-bed, so cleverly designed that it felt spacious despite being maybe 10 square meters in size. The private bath's shower had better water-pressure than we've got at home, and there was a new big-screen TV, plus 4 oversized zabuton seats that could be stored on wall racks when not in use. ||The communal kitchen, refrigerator, and lobby area were some of the best I've experienced--and I've stayed at a lot of hostels! The coin laundry is about a 5-min. walk, and features washers that provide their own detergent (all instructions in Japanese; no change machine; takes 300 yen per load of wash and about 300 yen--3 cycles--to completely dry). Read moreI love this place and wish to stay longer if I have more time in Nara. It's very close to Nara Station. There is Lawson on the way you walk from Nara Station to the hotel.
Arrive at the hotel, you can feel warm atmosphere fron the place. It's the self check in but you can ring the bell fof staff. You will get a recepit indicating room number and password to enter your room. Hold you hand over the lock, there will be number shown up so you can type in the enter code. I booked a room with bunk bed but stayed alone, not much incremental price to shared room.
The bathroom has the clear sliding door, but there is the shade you can pull down to get the privacy. Kettel is available...
