Starbucks Coffee - JR Nara Station Former Building — Restaurant in Nara

So you have your regular Starbucks scattered all over the country, but this one in particular is quite cool due to its location.

Located inside the tourist visitor center of Nara, not only can you stop by for a solid beverage of your choice, but you can learn a bit about the city and take a photo with the giant deer mascot the city is famous for.

Ahhh スターバックス in the sacred city of Nara.

Conveniently located at the outside of Nara JR train station. This Starbucks is described as in the "Nara Station old building". 日本語: 1934年に完成した旧奈良駅舎。駅舎としては2003年まで使用され、2009年に「奈良市総合観光案内所」として再開館した。

The building dates to 1934 and is now used for the Nara Tourists Information Center as well as the familiar Starbucks. Tbh your standard Starbucks, but of course with desired "Japan Menu" only available in Japan. What sets this particular location apart is the Ganbatte spirit you'll never find stateside. Ok, and I admit all four of them were absolutely adorable lol.

I chose the Iced Yuzu Citrus Tea ゆず シトラス & ティー, Hot Matcha Latté, and Japanese Arabici Sausage Roll. I actually wanted only one drink, but was encouraged to order in my limited Japanese by my adorable barista, so of course ended up with the extra drink and a morning to be grateful to be alive. This Starbucks is inside the Nara city tourist info center right next to Nara Station. It is clean and stocked! The staff is super friendly and caring and attentive to the order details.
