Did not stay, but visited the shop and coffee shop. Very creative, good vibes, sort of hippie feeling place. They prepare lunch and dinner and you're welcome to go (1,300¥-1,500¥), and they have initiatives where you can pay a bit extra and cover the meal or coffee for someone less fortunate. . Lots of detail in the decoration, makes the ambiance really good. I wish to join more, but unfortunately only found the place at the end of my trip! From the outside, it is hard to know it's a coffee shop unless you stop to look at the signs. If you want more people to stop for coffee, I'd recommend making it more obvious!

The location is in a somewhat poorer district and rather unique due to the occasional female barker at night and the location of the red light district nearby. Both are easily avoided however.

Cocoroom is a family run business that stands as a beacon of hope, the owners are friendly and the atmosphere reminds me of collectives, where mutual aid is the core philosophy. I would strongly suggest anyone pay a visit to this wonderful place and have a cup of coffee.

Once step in, you're invited to a space filled by creative works by various visitors and artists. if you're a curious traveler, you feel lucky to discover them and explore more; or if you're a lone visitor, you could just share the time with nice and warm food, which is not a stereo-type touristic one but rather ordinary food usually served in Japanese family...||Coco Room stands in the area which is known for one of the most help-needed places in Japan but also in walking distance to Abeno Harukas, a gigantic department store with the latest fashion. In some cases it bordered on staying in a Japanese ryokan for ten times the cost. While the area is blue-collar and unremarkable, there wasn't anything short of remarkable about Cocoroom.
