My review reflects the absolutely shameful, dishonourable way management treated me on booking an apartment. Two different lies they told me. "The apartment is occupied, you cannot come." Then 2. There is a "maintenance issue"... "You cannot come"
In truth, they had made a mistake in the price on the listing, and did not want to honour the contract. But in their dishonesty, they chose to lie, rather than accept their mistake. I was forced to contact customer service on the booking platform, and they may have helped coerce management in the end to honour the agreement, but it took two days, many messages, and a sleepless night of stress and anxiety before they finally gave in...one day before check in. The stress caused to a disabled man, making me panic about having nowhere to stay on a weekend in Osaka, only days before my booking date.... Completely disgusting behaviour. Shameful and dishonourable.
Having said that, the apartment was clean, and well presented. My only complaint was the water does not last long. You can only fill the bath half way, and then there's no hot water left to rinse off after. You must wait a long time or shower...
Read moreThere was a false alarm and evacuation and since no staff exists onsite no one was able to communicate to anyone until the fire team got here Service is non existent It is not a hotel it is a hostelLocation is scary to get to at nightNo matter which stationYou literally have a sign in the lift warning you to not go to the RED LIGHT district, it’s not even just there the whole streets are abandoned save for someElderly who still keep their retro stores open there is no restaurants near by it’s mostly local Izakayas and you’ll need to stroll further and walk to feel safer Its complicated and you can’t really go out at night it’s dead quietThe room is clean and lovelyExcept the perfume from previous guess on the quilt smelt like strawberry lip balm The beds are so firm I did not sleep a full night at allThe kitchen is a bonus but again it’s not a hotel The laundry is outside so on winter it is freezingAnd needs to be paid forThe balcony is nice but if you don’t use aircon use the quilts and thermal to keep warm the room gets really cold quickly I was on 7th floorI don’t like the automatic check in process it was complicated after a late...
Read moreIt is by a red light district, and an inner street of karaoke bars. So if you're not comfortable around that, don't go here. Otherwise the space and location is really good. Room is equivalent to a typical studio room. The hotel is 10-15 mins from shinsekai, and 30 ish mins from dotonbori if you miss the last train or just want to be out late. My biggest peeve was the lack of service. They respond super late to messages and emails. No one picks up the phone. No one is in the front or responds to the service bell that's by the entrance. And when you finally do get service it seems like it's a foreigner staff that doesn't know japanese or English so communicating is very hard. The check in system needs to be better clarified, many people were seen struggling to check in, me included. And it wasn't a language barrier issue, just straight up bad...
