We stayed at the Bakery Hotel for one night and found the self check-in process to be very simple and smooth – just follow the instructions sent by email. The room was very clean, comfortable, and had all the amenities we needed. We also enjoyed breakfast at the bakery, where the products were freshly baked and absolutely delicious! Highly recommended.

Süßes Hotel in Shirahama, eines der schönsten Ausflugsziele in der Präfektur Wakayama. Zwar etwas weiter von Bahnhof Shirahama entfernt, aber in der Stadt selber ist alles entspannt Fußläufig erreichbar. Das Hotel ist mit Mikrowelle, Wasserkocher (in einer Art Gemeinschaftsküche) und Waschmaschinen gut ausgestattet. Die Zimmer sind sehr sauber und für japanische Verhältnisse relativ groß. Am Senjojiki Rock Plateau (nur 10min. fußläufig) habe ich den schönsten Sonnenuntergang meines Lebens gesehen.

フロントがないので事前にチェックイン方法などのリンク先が書かれているメールが3回ほど送られて来ます。リンク先にある事前チェックインをしておくとホテルの入り口で予約番号みたいなのを入力したらすぐに完了でキー番号をもらえます。 これは部屋の鍵とホテルのオートロック、温泉の入り口の鍵を兼ねているので、これだけ覚えていれば鍵を持たないで良いので便利です。 建物は綺麗にリノベーションされていますが、おそらく昭和40年代ごろのどこかの企業の保養所だったのではないでしょうか。ホテルとしてはエレベーターがないくらいで逆に新しいような感じもします。部屋にはユニットバスでトイレ洗面所とセットですが、残念ながら部屋のお湯は温泉ではないのでシャワーも使いませんでした。別棟の温泉は崎の湯と同じ源泉なので元の温度が高いのでどうなのかと思いましたが41.4〜8℃ぐらいの表示でちょうど良い温度でした。入るとヌルッとした肌触りのお湯です。あとシャンプーバーがあって5種類ぐらいから選べます(1回しか使わなかったが)。洗い場が4人分しかないので、部屋のテレビで混雑状況を見てから行けばいいと思います。

New Hotel, everything was nicely designed. Room was good size and comfortable. Checkin was automatic without staff, was a little complicated. There is a small nice onsen, and a bakery where you can buy fresh bread in the morning...
