ALOHA shirahama — Restaurant in Shirahama

The curry is impressive with the sauce made by several ingredients. It is not the Japanese-style curry. The flavor is a little bit spicy and quite fresh to me. (I couldn’t tell in words how good the curry is, go for a try!)

Additionally, I like the banana chips are served with a coconut “bowl”.

Rainbow Donut looks great, and also tastes great. The sweetness is moderate and the donut is chewy.

The vibe is excellent!! As sunny Shirahama feels like a little Hawaii, it is a good choice to stay here and enjoy a little moment of nice food, sunshine and chill ! ☀️

We are so happy we found ALOHA!!! On our second week in Kyoto and Wakayama, and we were craving something a little different than the usual set meal for lunch. The food was FANTASTIC - my son had the Hawaiian hot dog, my husband had the Aloha poke bowl, and I had the vegan, gluten free curry. All of it was so delicious, we decided we’re coming back tomorrow. The owner was so kind, too, and gave my son a free Hawaiian donut and Ramune. I shared a pic of this meal with loved ones, and they said it looks like the loco moco is wearing a top hat, while at the Kentucky Derby. I agree, this is fancy loco moco. After my first bite, I immediately fell in love. This loco moco was perfectly seasoned and the patty was super tender and juicy. I lived in Hawaii for two years and this is the best loco moco I have ever had. Makes sense because the owner’s wife is Hawaiian and perfected her recipe.
