On our 3rd and 4th night, we chose to stay in a capsule room. Though I tried it before in Malaysia, but I wanna try it in Japan since it is known for Capsule Rooms. Plus I want my sister to experience it.||So here's our stay:||WHAT I LOVE|🔸Location is very accessible to anything. The train station is so near like maybe 5 minutes walk. There are many restaurants and convenience stores outside. There is a grocery store the next block. There are also coffee shops.|🔸Amenities are good. The toilets are high tech, may I say. There are toilets in every floor. There are enough shower rooms in the 2nd floor.|Plus they provided you a bag with towels and sleep wear which I really love. There are free shampoo, conditioner and body soap. There is a hotel slippers too. |🔸The staff is friendly and can speak English. I guess they are available 24 hours. They are courteous. 😊|🔸The hostel is for female only. As the name suggests, so that very great. 👌||CONS|🔸Sleeping pod is purely for sleeping. You cannot be noisy and cannot even answer calls because the guest in the next pod can definitely hear. You have to be conscious so that you cannot disturb other guests.|🔸The dresser in the 2nd floor would be crowded when everyone is fixing or hair drying. So you have to wait for them to finish.|🔸There is no eating area. But there is a small table in the 2nd floor where you are allowed to eat or drink. It is in the corner of the wash rooms, toilets and shower rooms. You cannot drink or eat in the sleeping pods.|🔸There is 1 USB slot, 1 outlet and the knob for the light. I cannot charge all my gadgets together. But yeah, I just charged it one by one. What's really the challenge was charging my power bank because the cable is so short. Good thing I have a tripod. 😀|🔸Your stuff/things/bags/luggages will only be left and stored at the locker in the 1st Floor. The dilemma comes when all the guests will be there to change or fix their stuff. They can see what is inside your bag. And the space will not be enough if everyone is there.||Every day at 10AM, guests need to check out. Because that is the time they will be cleaning the hostel.|If you are staying for more than 1 night, you don't have to worry. You just need to return the towels and key card. Then you can leave your stuff inside the locker. Your pod number will not change but they will provide you a new set of towels, sleep wear and slippers. So I don't find any hassle about that. Besides, since we are there to tour, we won't be in the hotel from 10AM to 1PM.||Guests can only check in after 1PM.||Arigatō Nine Hours...
Read moreI paid only 3000 yen on bookings.com but saw that the price can be higher if you book on the day so book in advance if possible ! ||What a great location it's only about 1 minute walk from Kanda station so easily manageable with two suitcases and a backpack (I'm going back home !) one stop to Tokyo so it's so convenient .||The fact that it's woman's only makes a difference . The place is clean and feels nice . They can store large suitcase downstairs at reception area .||The pods are great the only thing is you need long charging cords to rest on the side panels or they end up dangling . Cosy and not so hot like the ones in ive stayed in before .||The provide you with pajamas , two towels, toothbrush. All items are stowed away in the locker room it fit my carry on suitcase and backpack with a little care .||The showers are really good . Great pressure and the shelves in there to put your things is really handy. Hairdryers provided and lots of space (about 6 people at one time at the vanity mirror area ).||There isn't a small lounge area like the shibuya capsule hotel .||I had a lower pod and it was near the elevator so when the doors open you can hear the outside noise . I prefer the lower because the higher ones have tiny steps (I'm a U.K. Size 3) and I think they look small and awkward!!||Highly recommended, so conveniently located and it has such a good...
Read moreThe best part about this place is its location proximity to the train lines.
This location did not match the TicTok video that I saw showing the ladies 9 hour as having a lounge and areas to relax on site outside of the capsule.
This location is strictly for sleeping which was not included information when I booked via Expedia. I had hoped to have a place to take breaks at during the day then head back out for more adventures. Even when booking multiple days you cannot access the facility between 10am and 2pm. You must check out in between.
There is also not a lot of space to open and re-pack your suitcase. If you have a larger bad they will store it in the lobby but it will be awkward trying to open it up in the hotel to retrieve clothing or other items. If I were to stay in a similar place again I would bring a small backpack and store my larger luggage at the airport or other service.
The capsule was comfortable and large enough for me to not feel too constrained. I was however able to hear all of the noises including storing of the other patrons in the set of capsules.
It was a fair option as a bargain traveler. I would have only planned differently had I known about the smaller spaces as the tiktok video I viewed about the location did not...
