I booked this hotel in Tokyo because it seemed fairly priced, but honestly, I wish I had spent a little more elsewhere. From the moment I walked in, I could tell this place is in dire need of renovations. The lobby ceiling had visible water damage and mold, which was a huge red flag. The hallways were dark, dirty, and outdated, giving the whole place a rundown, neglected feel.
When I got to my room, I was shocked at how tiny it was. I know Tokyo rooms run small, but this was literally the size of a shoebox. The bed was extremely uncomfortable, and when I pulled back the cover, the duvet underneath was stained and just plain gross. The room itself was dusty, and the furnishings felt like they hadn’t been updated in decades. The window right by where my head was when I slept had water damage—which not only looked awful but felt really unhygienic.
The front desk staff was polite, which I appreciated, but I was seriously frustrated when I asked for an extra pillow and was told they didn’t have any. How does a hotel not have extra pillows? It just made me feel like they weren’t prepared to actually take care of guests.
Also, they only clean your room once every three days—which might be fine at a luxury place where things are spotless to begin with, but here, it just added to the feeling of neglect.
Do yourself a favor: spend a little more and stay somewhere that’s actually clean, comfortable, and maintained. This place was a disappointment from...
Read moreWe are a family with a 16 year old daughter. We booked a 3 bed room and stayed for 4 nights in this hotel and although this is our first time in this hotel, we are very impressed. We can store luggage when we arrive at 7am and checkin process is very simple at 3pm.
The location is very near to subway station koyobacho, and from haneda it is only one train away without transfer. and it is also still in walking distance to Tokyo station since we plan to move to Osaka in our 4th day using shinkansen, thus we don't need to transfer between train to reach shinkansen. Just walk to Tokyo station.
The room is clean, the bathroom is clean and perfectly functional. Alhtough housekeeping only available every 3 days, Clean towels are provided everyday and trash bags can just be put in corridor to be picked up. There is a laundry room, if you need one. And all amenities are available on 1st floor, pick as many as you need.
The staffs are also very polite and responsive. Although their English is pretty limited, basic conversation should not be an issue.
Overall, we enjoyed our stay in this hotel, and will definitely stay again if we visit...
Read moreOne of the smile hotels in various places in Tokyo, where you can reach itchy places. There are several other chains in the Kayabacho area, but this is the best location. Convenience stores, drug stores, and supermarkets are right next to the station. There are also many restaurants around. The room is reasonably sized for the price. I was interested in disposable slippers, which is a big advantage. Employees are also kind and polite. Above all, I appreciate the buffet breakfast at Gusto in the ba*t. I thought it was a little expensive, but the amount was fine, and it tasted like gusto, so it was average. Then why is the facility this score, surprisingly old here and there. The wallpaper is peeling off, the shower pressure is weak, the toilet lid is defective, there is a slightly steep step to the front floor, and it is difficult if you have heavy luggage. .Well, if you just want to sleep and eat a lot of breakfast, this hotel...
