One star because I can't give a zero. If I wrote down every single thing that annoyed me, it would be an essay, but here goes: You are not allowed to open your room window during your stay for 'security reasons'. So there is not enough oxygen in the room. No water in the room, you have to buy your own. All of this was not stated on any of the booking web details, If I know I cannot open the window in this hotel I will not book.

Girl who work on the 27th around 12-5pm ish shift front desk with bang were super low manner and racist, many small gestures revealed her rudeness and unprofessionalism, and her contempt and boredom with me was written all over her face. super nice to white people and locals but no servise to me. I asked her to 'book a taxi to the nearest clinic please', meaning that I wanted her to find me the nearest clinic and book a taxi to take me there. She said OK and stopped talking to me, didn't ask me any question, didn't corfirm with me about any clinc detail or tell me the taxi is on its way, ignored me until the taxi came, she realised I wanted her to find a clinc, she got angry and said 'WHAT? the taxi is here you need to find clinc yourself', she had all the time to double check with me and she didn't and blamed it on me. I didn't want the taxi to wait, so I told her I had to cancel the taxi, but I was willing to pay the driver's cancellation fee. She became extermely rude saying 'WHAT' WHILE I'M STILL SPEAKING and told the driver to leave not mentioning anything about me paying him cancellation fees. Then she walked away and decided not to serve me anymore. To compare her unbelievable manner, her co-worker helped me find a clinic, printed out a map, called a taxi. when I came back, asked me how it was.

The next day my bf went down to ask her to call delivery dominos, same rude unimpational attitude, after call she show my bf price on , my boyfriend asked if we need to pay at reception, she ROLLED her eyes and said yes, my bf said he would go upstairs and get the money and her expression was like we were going to run away with free dominos, when my bf came down again she said no you don't pay here you pay to the delivery guy. WHAT THE HECK? AFTER ALL THAT ARE YOU JUST INSULTING YOUR HOTEL GUEST? btw no baw no im so sorry you come down again just oh don't come here go back to your room and wait.

yeah good luck having her working in your hotel untill no one...

Do not book here, read this first. All the below is 'in my opinion'... but boy o boy....

Nothing to do with a 3 star. They are clearly clamping down on costs and forgetting about the customer experience. Villa Fontaine this is my feedback for you, people want an experience, not just a room. Especially if you are charging 100-150k a night. I would say that you are achieving 1 star at be at best.

I wont leave the review without some ideas. The 3 star place we just came from had:

Free water in room, bed which isn't squished against wall, there is an Onsen (public bath), there are 2 pillows per person, the beds were bigger, there were pyjamas in the room, to request for the room to made up you can put a sign on the door, there are far more amenities, there is a business center with free coffee and a really great space to hang out. There is premium breakfast available from sushi to scrambled eggs and croissants. Free water cooler to refill your water bottles. Modern lifts. Modern entry to rooms. Artwork in hallways.

These are all the things that are NOT available at this hotel at the time of this review.

Going to the toilet in the lobby was an experience, it stank and clearly hadn't been cleaned for some time (not a 3 star hotel standard). Also to get into the room you go through an outdoor courtyard in an old lift. And there is no sound insulation from the rooms next door, can hear the next door neighbour hanging their clothes as we speak. The blinds don't block out the light. The pillows are uncomfortable.

I hate leaving reviews like this... but I think it is pretty poor to claim that you are a 3 star, with 3 star prices but deliver a 1 star product.

Update, when it rains then then the carpets all get supet wet in the corridor area. Its so bad its almost comical.

Last part, we ended up having to extend our stay for a night because of a medical emergency. The lack of care from staff was palpable...

Book this at...

We stayed at this hotel for a total of 10 days.

  1. 2 days for first period and stayed on 7th floor. The room was spacious compared to other tokyo Hotels with tiny room size. At least all our 3 luggage (2 big 30kg size and 1 small cabin size). 2 days later, we left for shirakawago. Then we put our 2 big luggage here and only bring small luggage to shirakawago.

  2. 2 days later, we came back from shirakawago and then checked in again. This time we stayed on the 11th floor. We were assigned a corner room, but this was bad as there was a pillar at the corner, and only our 2 big luggage could be iprn all the while. The smaller luggage didn't have sufficient spaces to open. 2 days later, we left our 2 big luggage at the hotel while we went to stay 2 days in disneyland.

  3. 2 days later, we came back from disneyland and checked in again. This time, we requested that we don't want the corner room and we were assigned an intermediate room on the 6th floor. All 3 luggage could be opened at the same time

Since we tried rooms on 3 levels over the period of 10 days, the room was ok, pillow and bed was ok, all toiletries, heater, hot shower, hair dryer and fridge worked fine. The room was quiet, and we were satisfied

All toiletries were self collected at lobby.

The housekeeping only cleaned the room after 3 days of stay.

The best of this hotel was the location as it was surrounded by all major subway and JR. Walking distance within 5 minutes to access to JR, Hibiya line (to hinza and tsukiji), tozai line (to tokyo station), and asakusa line (to haneda airport and skytree). Shinkansen at tokyo station was within walking distance...

After our first arrival at the room "check-in" we found a woman's panties hanging in the shower (I suppose from the previous guest). I told this to the girl at the reception and she offered to change us the room, I said there's no need but I wanted someone to remove these panties from the room and she did. So the employees at the reception are very helpful, this a possitive point for the hotel but after this "incident" we noticed hairs at the shower and also at the body towels, the bathroom also has some not very good smells we started to think that the cleaning is not the best in this hotel. They said they're going to cleanup the room every 3-4 days unless we request daily cleanup at the reception. I'm sorry but we're going to request that because otherwise we will not be very confident about the hygiene measures. Edit: The breakfast was extremely poor and bad. Not yogurt not chocolate and not other options to drink (only cofee and tea) and all the food options were: Mango, croissant, brioche, omelette, frankfurts, macaroni, soup. That's all. Edit 2: They apologized for the room being poorly cleaned and they gave us some sweets in the room today. Apologies are welcome and they're humble so I decided to increase the rating of the service from 4 to 5 starts. And overall rating to 3 stars.

Traveling as a couple with two suitcases (one 28" and one 24") and two medium-sized backpacks, we stayed for a total of five nights in a Standard Room - Non-Smoking at this hotel, both at the beginning and end of our trip in Tokyo. The location isn't the most convenient, requiring a 20-minute walk from Tokyo station, a 10-minute walk from Nihombashi station, and a 5-minute walk from Kayabachō station. The room size is small, making it challenging to place both suitcases near the bed or table. We had to open the 28" suitcase by the door due to space constraints. The WiFi details are available on the TV; you need to turn it on to access them. The safe is spacious enough to hold a 13" laptop. While the bed is comfortable, the pillows are quite low, and there are no extra pillows provided in the room. Housekeeping doesn't occur daily, but they do change towels and dustbin liners regularly. Note - Reno work has been in progress from December 25, 2023, to August 31, 2024, between 8 am and 6 pm. Fortunately, this did not impact us since we typically returned to the hotel after 6 pm.
