Yufuin Tsukiakari — Hotel in Yufu

Not a bad experience, but know what to expect: Yufuin can seem small, but I should have checked google maps beforehand. Without a car or bicycle, take into account that going in the actual town centre will be a 15-20min walk. Since anything besides the main street is dead as soon as 6pm, the evening meal might take some planning, and some night walk without much lighting.

As far as the hotel itself goes, it's ok. Old japanese house, so absolutely freezing, and the heater at to be on at all times. There is a shared bathroom, with a big bath, which was nice. The beds themselves are pretty comfortable, and you get a good breakfast in the morning. The owner was really sweet, and left some food on my luggage for the trip.

Overall good value, but pay attention to the location. And the wifi is really bad, if that...
