Worst place we have stayed at in our 8 days in Jordan. Especially for the treatment the supervisor (or so he call himself) gave us. He took advantage of the fact that we booked directly rather than through booking.com, so he gave us a room that was literally falling apart. AND, the room was so full of MOULD that you really had to be blind not to see it. I am attaching the photos, you may judge it yourself. When we went back to the reception to request to switch room, the "supervisor" said 《I wasn't aware》. Since it was impossibile not to see it, either he was lying, or he never checked the room. Either way, he is not fit to be a "supervisor". The room itself was very ugly and not well maintained, but what made us really mad is that they put our health at risk, because MOULD IS DANGEROUS, especially when a whole wall is full of mould! And, we never heard the word "I am sorry". Also, putting some paint ON the mould doesn't solve the issue (this is how they addressed the issue). FYI The mould was also in the second room we got, although less, and in other common areas (check the walls in the staircase, close to the rooftop). Lastly, breakfast was the saddest ever (with the lovely sound of the washing machine, because FYI the laundry is in the kitchen ont the rooftop..). Speechless... luckily we stayed only one night..

New and modern hostel with private rooms, very good location and great rooftop view. Building is three floors, rooftop has sitting area with amazing views. Try it at the sunset! Common area is very nice, you can watch TV, play video or other games, read a book, or just enjoy the free coffee and tea. You can use common kitchenette which is very modest. There's also washing machine and dryer but it takes long time to wash and dry clothes, it took me 4 hours total. There's space for luggage in rooms (lockers) as well as luggage storage. It has lift, as well as stairs. Rooms are equipped with bathrooms and mine was with window and air conditioning. Place is new and nice. Somehow, I liked upper rooms more then the ones in lower floor. Beds were large and comfortable, each of them had a courtain for privacy, plug and night light. There was female dorm available, as well as mixed and private rooms. Staff was nice and helpful. I liked the interior design a lot. I wish I could stay longer, but it was fully booked. If you have opportunity, stay here. Good quality for money. Also clean rooms and bathrooms. Recommended.

I absolutely loved staying at Nomads. The beds are super comfortable(their blankets are SO COSY!) and they have all hostel facilities like fridge, washing machine, dryer etc. Out of everything though, I liked the collaborative space where travellers going to the same place can find each other and plan trips together. The hostel has all the information you would need if you are starting your trip in Amman (bus timings & routes, site timings during winter and summer, places to eat at, things to do etc). Even if you are aren't going anywhere, the staff are really cool and you can spend the entire day chatting with them.

By far the UNSAFEST Hostel and WORST experience I ever had staying in onel!!!! It's a long one but if you think of staying here you should read it!

There were four of us sleeping in a private room (we didn't lock our door) and we woke up in the middle of the night (2:30am) to two guys who have entered the room and were searching our room, stuff , bathroom and even checking our beds!! By the time we woke up and asked what the h* they were doing here and to get out of our room they just said they were looking for a shampoo (obviously in our beds!) and quickly left. We realized that we porbably got pretty close to being robbed (nothing was missing thank god!) and decided to let the reception know about what was going on. On our way down we heard drawers being opened, papers beeing quickly looked through and some other noises so go pretty scared and ran back to our rooms and barricaded the door! Imagine the good sleep we got after that!!! So the next morning we told the reception about it and at first they were really surprised and saying 'oh what no way, I can't believe that happened' 'why would anyone do that' 'yeah we don't know what was going on' 'this never happenend before weird that it happened to you haha' and so on. Well after doing some research they told us their version. Appearently another guest realized at 2:30am in the morning that he forgot his shampoo in our room and told the receptionist. So they decided that it was a good idea to just go into our room and look for it. Haha what a relieve! And we thought we were being robbed but no, they basically just let anybody in, especially in the middle of the night to search your room! This makes someone feel so much safer haha

So long story short DO NOT stay at this place if you are not in a group, especially if you are just girls! And if you decide to do stay there, ALWAYS lock your door!!

Besides that the rooms were nice and the beds were comfortable. But the people working at the reception are the worst!! Especially the one guy 'handling' our situation. He was basically making fun of us for this to happen and the only thing he said to us was that we should calm down. Thank god, because this helped a lot! haha When we asked for our money back he said he can't do that but can organize a taxi to the airport. By the time we were ready to leave he told us the price (which was twice as much as a taxi driver on the street told us!) I answered that I thought that this was on the house as a compensation and he just laughed and said that he would organize it and not that he would pay it. What a lovely man! He really understands how to run a Hostel....

We booked 3 beds in a mixed dorm, our booking was cancelled at 4:50pm on the day of arrival, at this point we were already in a taxi on the way to the hotel and found out when we arrived 15 minutes later.

The reason was due to a water pipe flooding 2 rooms, understandably a burst water pipe is out of the hotels control, however, we did not think the situation was handled well. I think most hotels faced with a similar situation late in the day on the of day of check in would simply reallocate guests to any appropriate rooms available while honouring the original booking cost (even if that meant they had to upgrade the room).

What Nomads hotel did was try to get more money from us. The only option that would’ve accommodated us was for us to split up between a double room and one bed in a dorm at an extra cost that would mean our stay would cost double that of our original booking. Our original booking was 8 JOD per bed but they claimed to be offering a major discount by offering the dorm for 6 JOD and the double room for 30 JOD per night. We had seen that this was essentially same price that was on booking.com (29 JOD + ~3 tax) and available to anyone so not sure how this can be classified as such a discount, especially when double the price of the original room we had reserved.

Unfortunately we didn’t have the budget to spend double what we’d set aside for accommodation. I would say the hotel offered the bare minimum assistance in this situation. The hotel didn’t offer any suggestions for alternative hotels or hostels that may have been able to accommodate us. They did give us some water and allow us to leave 2 bags in reception for around 20/30 minutes while we were sat on the street outside searching for a more affordable last minute hotel. At this point there was still a possibility we’d be staying in the hotel and we left with our luggage as soon as we decided not to stay.

The hotel is well situated near to downtown and rainbow street and I cannot comment of the dorm rooms themselves but I would not recommend this hotel based on how they handle these non...

This place is just great overall. I booked two nights and was so impressed I booked a further two nights a few days later. The staff is incredibly friendly and speaks English well and I had great convos the final night there just hanging out on the balcony. Breakfast on the roof is included: choice of a cheese or plain omelet, a bread topped with cheese, or pancakes. There is water, coffee, tea and OJ. The rooms have incredibly comfortable beds although I do wish they had a linen bedsheet and not just a duvet. There are some funky paintings on the walls which I appreciate. A powerful AC unit. The WiFi is not the greatest, especially for video calls, but it’s good enough for uploading photos. The bathrooms and room in general are very clean. Overall it was fairly quiet but there are groups of Egyptian men staying in this and in hotels all over Jordan for “quarantine” before working in Saudi Arabia. They’re fairly inoffensive but can be a bit noisy at times. The location is ace: just a block away from buzzing Rainbow Street, so far enough removed from the clamour. About a 10-20 minute walk to the sites downtown.

Some minor gripes: the grey carpets in the hallways are pretty gross with stains and desperately need to be replaced. For breakfast, often utensils and even napkins (not tissues!) are not provided when served the food. Also have to get drinks yourself. Customer service needs a bit of work. The call of the muezzin at 4:48 AM is REALLY loud in room 306. Also the toilet seat is broken in that room… and remained broken when I checked in the same room a few days later.

Still, I would definitely...
