Central Park Hostel — Hotel in Riga

The hostel has a great central location with excellent access to all the attractions in central Riga. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was good and the beds were acceptable. The communal toilet and shower facilities were relatively clean however the toilet seat was not attached. A small towel was provided which was useful. The room was well heated and clean. Even though is "only" a hostel, we found the owner more welcoming and helpful (with luggage storage, taxis, suggestions, etc) than at many hotels and bed & breakfasts. We stayed in a private room with a family bunk bed and had a good night's sleep although the owner had been afraid we might be roused by noisy latecomers. The staff are friendly, close to the bus and train station, large shopping centre is across the road, with supermarkets, KFC, etc. They don't keep staff 24/7, but there is always someone in the morning. The beds are firm, clean and soft. The rooms are clean and tidy, there are always free tea, coffee, cacao drinks, a fridge, microwave, clean plates and cups, tables to seat and eat. I like this place, cheap, stayed there for 5 or 6...
