Riga Latvian Society House is a great spot to host and organize all kinds of events- official or private. The main hall there can host over 800 people and the design on the stage there is very elegant and fancy. Recently went there to my friends graduation. The vibe for it was just how I had imagined. Первый дом Рижского Латышского общества (РЛО) был построен в 1869 г. по проекту Яниса Фридриха Бауманиса. В 1897 г. здание переделали по проекту архитектора Константина Пекшена. Однако в 1908 г. оно полностью сгорело. РЛО сразу же взялось за восстановление дома. В 1909 г. был утверждён новый проект архитекторов Э.Лаубе и Э.Поле, по которому и было построено здание в стиле неоклассицизма. В архитектурном облике ассиметричного здания отразились и отдельные признаки венского югендстиля. Особенно это относится к начертаниям ризалитов, которые венчают купола. Типичными элементами югендстиля являются и декоративные панно, которые в сложной технике цветного цемента и мозаики создал Янис Розенталс.
