We were rushing a lot and Google search showed this place as top ten restaurants in Riga. I thought the place will be really expensive, but prices shocked me in such nice way. Cold beetroot soup for 4 euros, Cesar salad with chicken for lunch just 4.8(full price 7.5). When we came I asked how fast can we get served cause it was like an hour left to the bus and just in few minutes we got a nice drink and buns with bread and butter. As I saw every customer gets the drink and buns included and they were awesome. Buns and bread so fresh it seemed they cooked them on the spot. The cold beetroot soup was totally different from the one I am used to have here Lithuania. Cesar salad was not bad, received it pretty fast. Sadly missed that chicken was cold served. Maybe as we rushed they didn't heat it. Overall the sauce, chicken and salad played out a nice taste. Also what I didn't try yet I want to check next time is huge list of gins. That's a must if you come to visit this restaurant. What caught my I when I was choosing from Google was interior of restaurant. It's warm and cozy. Next time I am in Riga will come back here for sure. Thank you for...
Read moreAndaluzijas Suns – Riga Andaluzijas Suns restaurant is located in the city center of Riga. It was once part of a wealthy family's sprawling home and farm. Now, it has become a beautiful, upscale neighborhood with apartments, shops, and restaurants. Very few vehicles are allowed in, making it a peaceful environment for Andaluzijas Suns. The restaurant’s European menu offers a wide range of choices such as; pasta, noodles, steaks, burgers, and fish and chips. We decided to try a couple of the chef’s more creative dishes. You rarely see tacos on a Latvian menu, but Mary went for the pulled pork tacos with sun-dried tomato salsa and mixed vegetables. I had pork fillets stuffed with bacon and rich, flavorful local vegetables. The sauce on the meat allowed succulent pork and bacon to melt in my mouth. Andaluzijas Suns has an extensive wine list from around the world. This relaxing restaurant also serves cocktails, specialty spritzers, local beer, and soda. We suggest you eat outside in the beautiful courtyard by...

Andalūzijas Suns is a cozy spot offering solid European comfort food. The menu isn’t trying to surprise you with anything new- it’s more about doing the classics well. The food is tasty, portions are big, and prices are fair.
They serve breakfast until 14:00, and on weekdays they offer a business lunch. It gets very busy in summer, especially on the terrace.
Drinks are a highlight, especially the gin-based cocktails. Cool fact: they have their own locally distilled gin called OBDO.
The interior is warm and artistic, with rotating exhibitions. Chairs aren’t the comfiest, but it’s fine for a casual meal. Plus, they’re kid- and dog- friendly- even offering menu options for dogs!
Service was okay- our waitress seemed new and unsure, and I’ve noticed staff don’t always smile, though there are exceptions. Still, I recommend visiting- especially on a sunny day when the terrace is open and the cocktails...
