The Latvian Museum of Natural History is a solid choice for an affordable and educational outing, especially if you find yourself with a long layover in Riga. It’s easy to locate and offers plenty to see across its four floors, featuring exhibits that span from the prehistoric ages to modern-day conservation efforts.
The staff were friendly enough, but they made it clear upfront that if you don’t speak Latvian, navigating the museum can be a bit of a challenge—and they weren’t wrong. Read moreThey have a lot of interesting natural history things here but they have one major problem when it comes to tourist. All the information signs are in Letvian. Of course you can bye a audio guide in English. The problem with that is that when you are traveling with kids that have a natural curiosity asking a bout a ton of stuff the audio guide doesn't really works. Over all I'm sure they have som interesting stuff there but the museum needs an update to become more...

The prices are reasonable. The location of the bathrooms is a little bit inconvenient, always having to go down to the first floor is tiring. They also could’ve made some bar or mini casino there, to add some spice for the easily bored dads. Definitely...
