Unfortunately I had a terrible experience today at Gan Bei restaurant Origo branch. I didn’t get to food, so I can’t make any comments about that, however their service left me speechless.

I was greeted by a young waiter, who had no smile or charisma to work in service. It felt like he simply didn’t want to be there. I felt it in the tone of his voice and when I spoke to him in Russian, he abruptly told me that he doesn’t speak this language. Which is fine, I offered to communicate in English on what he said, yeah, English is fiiiiiiineee (literally dragging the word like that). It was rude, he didn’t escort me to the table and instead went to another customer. After some time my menus have arrived and I quickly made my choice, however, never got him to come back to actually take an order. There were 2 waiters in my sitting area and not one came over. I just watched them to pass by, watched them greeting other customers (also without a smile by the way), polishing cutlery, looking to me in the eyes and never acknowledge in any way that they will actually come to me in a moment or so. I was totally ignored. So proceeded to speak to a duty manager and to my surprise she was sat right there in a meeting with someone. I apologised for interruption but because I was leaving I felt that I have to give my direct feedback so that hopefully the service could be improved in the future. She was apologetic but I felt that she was not in charge of her staff as all of this was happening right in front of her. It felt like her own colleagues felt v comfortable doing that even though their manager was right there. Went there with my significant other as just a sudden little lunch together.

Waitress was nice, but organisation was really chaotic.

The cushions were dirty, the table was a little dirty and menus were smeared in some sauce.

We were too short on time and decided to stay as this was just a planned little lunch. Food was okay, nothing to complain about, however some of the prices were spiky.

When it was time to pay it seemed like no one had enough time to check on us after the food was eaten and we spent next 15-20 minutes waiting for the bill and catching the eyes of the waitress.

Some guy got escorted with security which didn't quite ruin the vibe, but seemed like all the focus from all the waiters went there which seemed slightly unprofessional as nothing in the situation was required from the staff, security handled everything already.

In the end had to get up and just ask for the bill, really didn't want to do that, but we were running short on time.

Would not go again, probably another waiter/waitress would solve the entire...
