Hotel GOGOL PARK — Hotel in Riga

I stayed here on the 25th of August 2021.

They were very accommodating of my late check-in (23) and early check-out (06.30). The process for this was very simple.

Before arrival, they had sent detailed instructions on how to find the location and process of checking in, which wasn't even necessary as it was very easy to find.

On arrival I was greeted by a beautiful and clean room, moreso than I had expected from the low price. It had all the amenities I'd look for, such as wifi, a power outlet, private bathroom and towels, even a water boiler with tea and coffee.

The service was quick and simple, responding to additional requests within an hour even outside of regular work-hours and always with utmost politeness and clarity.

Unfortunately I missed out on breakfast due to checking out early, however I'd definitely recommend this hotel and will look out for it for future...

The room I stayed in smelt horribly bad - it's hard to describe, sort of greasy and sickly. Honestly, it smelt as if someone in there hadn't showered in a year and it was downright disgusting. I've been in a lot of hostels and I've never seen (or rather, smelt) anything like it before. It was a pity as the rest of the hostel was pleasant enough, and I loved Riga the city, but the smell in my room was just bleurgh. My other roomies also agreed that our room smelled frightful, unfortunately when we complained to the hostel owner he said our rooms could not be changed and there was nothing he could do.||||It's cheap-ish, but it's a bit of a walk from the central bus and train station, and even more of a walk from the Old Town. I would say spend an extra couple euros and get a place closer to the city centre and preferably a room that doesn't...

We had a twin room with ensuite and it was really small room for two (we saw other twin rooms were twice the size) and bathroom was tiny, so I hope you end up in those bigger rooms!||Room was fairly clean if you do not mind cobwebs. ||Parking is limited, first come first served. ||Breakfast was limited and I still do not know breakfast times.||Only staff I saw was a cleaning lady and her English was limited.||Locationwise I would not choose this...
