MY EXPERIENCE WHILE STAYING AT LIVING HOUSE AND MY SAFETY COMPLAINTS
the first time I checked in at this living house, I really liked the atmosphere inside.. even though it's just a budget hotel, it's quite comfortable for me because the atmosphere is quiet and not too many people.. and with that situation, I often stay near this living house until I extended several times every month and every week.. however, the comfort and security that I feel at this living house now DOES NOT give me room to spend the night here anymore, since my room door was knocked on by a man who was also staying there Sunday (17.August.2025) 3 days ago..when my friend and I asked the RECEPTION there, they seemed to know about the incident and answered confidently. and today TWO men seemed to want to do something bad to me when I checked out this afternoon at 12.00 noon.. the two men were wearing black hoodies and the other one was wearing a black hat and his body was a little short and chubby.. and now LIVING HOUSE is no longer COMFORTABLE AND SAFE for me. and hopefully the STAFF and OWNER of LIVING HOUSE please take action against the...
Read moreNice budget hotel. They are open 24 hours and they let me check in 2+ hours early! The staff is super friendly, especially the owner, he gave me a big bag of bananas when I checked in. The place has a really nice AC and fan. The power doesn’t turn off when you leave the room like other hotels.
I had issues with the Wi-Fi not reaching my room, 203, and the owner brought a Wi-Fi extender to my room to fix the problem!
The hotel is pretty old, but the place has everything you need, hot water and AC. It has hot/warm water in the lobby, no cold water but you can buy from the front counter a 1.5L cold for 2 rm.
Perfect for the budget traveler, wouldn’t recommend if you are really picky about looks. There’s lots of delicious cheap food on the bottom floor.
Also, the free electric 103 bus has two stops about 8 min walk from here, which we took from...
Read moreWe stayed 4 nights at Living House and it was the best place we've stayed so far during our 7 months trip.||Yeah, the place look a bit old maybe. But the room has everything you can wish for. And if you are a budget traveller or backpacker it's what you are used to. There's a hot shower, a comfy bed with new bed linen, coffee and tea facilities, airco, etc. The place is also located very convenient near city centre, restaurants and shops.||But the best of Living House is the owner. We have never met a guy so nice! He did everything for us to feel welcome. He gave us free drinks, fruits and cookies. He even drove us to the express ferry in the early morning.||If you are looking for a budget option in Kuching, this is your place! You will be treated like a king :)|The place is highly recommended and would stay here...
