Kemena View Hotel Kuching — Hotel in Borneo

Wow they finally have trip advisor for Kuching Branch!||||I had very bad experience staying at this hotel last year, 2017. Reception allowed more than 5 people (Guess more than 10 people in the room) to overnight and had party in the room. They were party and turned on the clubbing song loudly. I was just staying at the same floor with those teenagers. Complained many times yet no action at all. ||||No security guard at all and only 1 male receptionist was working on that night. I assumed he might afraid to warn them. As a receptionist, you know how loud was the sound and we had complained so many times yet it wasn't solve, but at least do something like get other room for us. Luckily after many times complained and requested, you manage to get one room for us. (Which you should done earlier)||||To the Management of this hotel, PLEASE, do something and don't ruin your company's image. Train your staff. Can you imagine how bad was the night?How loud was the song? I posted to all of the Kemena Hotel because I unable to find Kuching branch, but NO reply at all from the management. BAD and...

I don’t care what people say… this was not good value unfortunately. Within the same budget in other cities in Malaysia we have received much better accomodation. Here we found dirty unhygienic rooms with bugs on the mattress, hairs and stains on bed sheets. We ended up changing rooms twice (first because of extremely loud metallic rattling sound from aircon and sewage smelling bathroom, could not sleep from noise) (second had bugs in bed) and only the third was decent (but still dirty with hairs, dust all over and the bathroom doorframe detached from the wall. Me and my partner do not have high standards in this price range, we are 20 year old budget backpackers but we felt disappointed. The only redeeming quality was the staff which were understanding and helpful by letting us change rooms. The place felt like no one had taken care of it in years, despite the construction taking place all day extending the accomodation.

Maybe they should focus on bettering current hotel rather...

Location of the hotel strategic as walking distance to Pandungan town, near Pullman and Sheraton hotels. Nearby hotel are restaurants, cafes, 7-11 and the famous TopSpot / UTC building. Hotel rooms, condition and service are good. The only setback that we encountered was the unpleasant and horrible smell from the bathroom floor trap 🤢. It had a strong musty infestation smell of cockroaches. Tried to ignore it until we came back during the night to be greeted by an adult cockroach and ants crawling at the work table. Really that the hotel management will look into cleaning and clearing out the bathroom floor trap. Looking forward in staying again but please sort out the odour and pest...
