Marina Travellers Suite @ Riverson Soho — Hotel in Borneo

Rooms: Not sure if we get the worst room but is not worth staying even if is cheap. The sound proof very bad and can hear the plane flying pass when sleeping Lots of things damage and the sofa is not clean and the floor is very old. bed quilt is too think and pillow is too soft. microwave is not clean water leaking from ceiling

Service: instructions is not given properly and not detail. Becareful if you rent a car and park at their season parking as they might scam you $50 ringgit if you don’t follow the steps correctly which was not giving the full instructions. They only able to speak Malay and not even English. Have hard time taking to them. even the returning of the key to the letter box not given a proper instruction. Still need to figure out ourself.

Location: only the pros is the location is good very is near to Imago. the building at level got a few nice store to walk and got a small nice food area to eat.

Summary: -Not worth staying even if is cheap. -Lousy season parking system. -Don’t believe in the agoda picture. Actual room does really look as nice as you think. -Noisy airplane sound.

It’s a shame that this place could be a five star homestay but the cleanliness is not up to standard. Floor is sticky and the cleaning chemicals used smells so foul that I had to open the window the whole day! No toiletries are provided, bedsheets are a little too thin and furnitures are a little worn down and dirty. I wore my slippers all the time in the house due to the worn out wood flooring. Sofas have to go through deep cleaning coz we could smell something from it. Not to mention, constantly deafen by airplane flying every 15 minutes. Great for value but not satisfactory.
