Kopi Ping Cafe @ Riverson — Restaurant in Borneo

Came here with some friends from KL who came to visit. Bad experience. Nearly one hour of waiting time for a SIGNATURE dish, slow service, and rude staff manning the counter.

Food was bland and when it arrived, it wasn’t hot or even warm anymore. Even fries took more than half an hour to reach the table. Creamy butter chicken rice tasted like cold evaporated milk. The rice was the only part of the dish that was relatively warm. We had to ask for the cutleries because they weren’t even given with our food.

Looking around, a lot of people have been getting wrong orders and have also been waiting for their food for a long time.

The worst part is that you have to pay immediately after placing your order. So cancelling your order and just getting up to leave wasn’t exactly an option.

The overall experience was terrible. Will not be coming here again anytime soon. Hope the staff will undergo some training in efficiency as they looked confused and lost the whole time. As a so-called reputable...

NOT RECOMMENDED. The food is just okay, nothing special, can find better at other restaurants. But what makes the food unpleasant is when the service is bad especially by the waitress(the girl wearing dark shirt who is acting like a man) is being rude. The way she speak is very unprofessional and rude from the time we sat down and asked her if they accept card payment. when we call for order she just pretended doesnt hear us eventho she's just beside us. Even when they gave us the wrong order(ordered milo, but received kopi) we just brushed it off and drank it. But what makes us angry is when she checking our order receipt, she realized the mistake, and we even told her that they gave the wrong order but her only response was "okay then?" With a very rude tone, she didnt even say sorry. Even the lady sitting next to our table told us the waitress is rude towards her and also gave her the wrong order. Disappointed with this cafe, will never go...

All Sabahans based out of state know how hard it is to find Tuaran Mee outside of Sabah! I’ve been craving it for months and ordered it here out of pure desperation, and to my utmost, pleasant surprise, it was very tasty and absolutely hit the spot. Other than being a tad bit salty, it was just the way I like it - drier noodles with bite, lots of egg and no soggy spots.

Based on other reviews, it appears that food quality differs from branch to branch but it generally seems like they are particularly good at noodle dishes as I know they’ve been famous for their fish sauce noodles for years.
