Marina Court Resort — Hotel in Borneo

So many problems in the apartment, we would not book KK Marina Court again.||The problems are: ||1. Things should provide daily||1.1 Bath towel only provided 6 pcs when check in, which look like dirty.||1.2 Shampoo and bath gel only provided 6 sets when check in, needed to request daily.||1.3 Drinking water only provided 6 bottles when check in, 3 bottles in other days.||1.4 2 rolls toilet paper daily which are no enough for 6 person.|| ||2. Agreed to put us in higher floor and better view||2.1 We stay at the 4 floors out of totally 11 floors in the apartment.|| ||3. Sitting room ||3.1 2 bulbs freshen, repaired.||3.2 Air-conditioner closed in a fixed time but the timer was off.|| ||4. Master-room||4.1 No curtain in the master-room toilet, water come out when bath; need to mop the floor every time.||4.2 Air-conditioner would become hotter after turn on a period of time, especially feeling bad, during sleeping.||4.3 Some inset was beating from the bed sheet, changed.|| ||5. Twin room where next to double room.||5.1 Lighting was closed and opened automatically every 10 mins, did not repaired, could not reading at night.||5.3 Bed sheet was smelling and some inset was beating, changed.||5.4 The door could not close and with some noise when slide open and close|| ||6. Twin room where at the back||6.1 Air-conditioner would become hotter after turn on a period of time.||6.2 Some inset was beating from the bed sheet, changed.|| ||7. Kitchen||7.1 All the cooking stool, bowls, dishes are very dirty ||7.2 No clothing for washing the cooking ware||7.3 No detergent||7.4 Not enough bowls and dishes for 6 persons, had to ask, provided.||7.5 Nothing for set on the fire, had to ask, provided.|| ||8. Laundry||8.1 Cover for Washing machine cannot open, fixed.||8.2 Not enough hanger for 6 persons, had to ask, provided.||8.3 No laundry power.||8.4 No clothing clips.|| ||9 Guest-room toilet||9.1 There is no door in the shower area, also water come out.||9.2 Water came out from the sink, repaired||9.3 There is a 6 cm hole which beating by white ant from...

Wifey, Mr 15, Mr 13 and I stayed at KK-Suites (room 5-09) for a week in Oct 17 and apart from the intermittent wireless and inoperable cable TV (no big deal...we weren't there to watch TV) and the construction currently underway outside the building (didn't significantly interrupt our sleep and I assume is only a temporary issue) have no real complaints.||The 3 bedroom apartment (2 rooms with 2 single beds, 1 room with a queen bed) had split system air-conditioning in each bedroom as well as the lounge area, was spacious, clean and serviced every day. The two bathrooms were not huge but were sufficient, and the kitchen with full sized fridge, microwave and gas cook-top was sparse but functional.||The thing Wifey and I most appreciated was the washing machine on the outside balcony (although the very limited hanging space over the five floor drop could do with a rethink...it's quite difficult to recover underwear that have fallen to the floor below) while the boys most appreciated the swimming pool on Level 1.||The location is first rate, being centrally located on the waterfront and therefore quite easy walking distance from most of the major attractions in KK (e.g. Jesselton Point, Gaya Street market, the night markets etc.)||Having read some of the other reviews I think they are perhaps a little harsh...Yes, the place is starting to show its age. No, it's not the Hilton...but then again, you're not paying Hilton prices either. We booked the apartment through Agoda and had no real problems checking in or out (although greater clarity on the need to call directly for check-in rather than trying to check-in at Marina Court couldn't hurt).||So, as a final wrap up...if you are looking for affordable accommodation, suitable for a family, that is clean, comfortable and spacious and located right in the middle of KK, you could do far worse than staying at KK-Suites. We'll happily stay...
