Promenade Service Apartments — Hotel in Borneo

I would like to review on behalf elderly people as i travelled with elderly family which has weak knees/ foot.

No lift. Thank God only at the 1st floor but still it takes some time to reach as elderly is not in a fit condition like normal people. Bedframe too low- He tried so hard to stand up to walk to the toilet. Toilet floor too high even for me, i find it's quite difficult for me to go inside. The corridor- suddenly got 2 bumps as for elderly it's already difficult for them to walk in flat surface. Probably got speed limit at the corridor. Cannot cook.

The good sides of this hotel. Front office staffs really accomodating. 2. Even though you cant get a parking space at the front of the hotel, you can park at the basement- C32 which is nearer to the hotel. You can just use the staircase from the 1st floor- your room and just walk all the way to the basement. Make sure u go to counter to get the form the front office only then you will be charged for Rm3 per entry before you heading out. Unless you like to pay more for which I don't know how much for the parking rate for the whole day. The operation hour of the parking payment booth is 24 hours so no worries if you are checking out in the early morning. Location- quite strategic. As i drive few places it takes around 10 mins unless got heavy traffic congestion. It takes 10 mins for me to walk to...

I am very unhappy with the POST-accomondation service of this apartment. I left my hoodie in the room upon my check-out. I realised my missing hoodie one day later.

I made my first call at 8am and was asked to call back at 9am. What a surprise that when I call back, the staff told me that it's a new work shift and I have to re-explain the matter again. I was told that I will be contacted as soon as they perform the room checking. I waited for 3 hours and I called back, the staff told me that they could not locate any item. Not forget to mention, the staff could not even speak clearly but in his own dialect tone and speed that I hardly get it.

In my point of view, there are merely two layers of checking will be enough to locate my hoodie. First, the person that checks the room upon my check-out; Second, the person that performs the last house keeping of that room. However, they are reluctant to offer such assistance but to end the conversation quickly with "We cannot find anything".

I have to admit that it my very own mistake that I left out my hoodie in the first place. But, the dishonesty and laziness of the staffs in this apartment are just so HIGH. Well, good lesson for a lifetime.

This is a very old-school apartment, it brings me somewhere like in the 80-90s we can see in the movie.😂 Please don't mixed up this apartment with Promenade hotel nearby, they are one street away and some grab driver have difficulties in recognizing this apartment too. My room is another block away from the reception in walking distance, the ground floor is shop lots, and lower ground with a carpark. The staff are friendly and kind, they will explain thoroughly to any questions and provide a map of directions. Customers with cars can waive their parking fees, so please inform the receptionist to get this privilege, it's like only paying half of the normal price. Customers have to look for their room carefully upstairs, because the rooms are mixed up with normal residents, but don't worry, there's labels everywhere or you can ask for the help of the guard downstairs, but some of them might also get confused with the directions. The room is clean, the aircon and bathroom heater are functioning very well. Surprisingly there's a small Korean town operated by pure Korean in 2km walking distance; also the must try of Sang Yuk Mee(pork soup noodles) is located nearby too.
