BEDBUGS!!! Anything negative, I could say about the place, pales in comparison to how absolutely infested the dorm room was. I was the only person staying there, and right as I was going to sleep, I noticed these enormous bedbugs crawling all over the curtain - right next to where I was drying my towel. Turns out, all my pieces of clothing that were touching the bed got incredibly infested as well, and to make things worse, my backpack on the ground was not spared either. I complained, but got offered to simply switch beds, as if that could help it and after about a half an hour, I got put into a 4 bed (all female) dorm, where, once again, I was the only one in. The next day, I paid 50rgt for a thorough cleaning and washing all of my belongings, which the staff refused to refund at first. I was told that if I was a local, they would have just laughed me out of the building and were only entertaining the conversation since I am a foreigner. After about two hours in total, of demanding a solution (a refund), both in the morning and evening when I had a receipt from the laundry place, I managed to get 40rgt refunded, but payed for the stay itself in full. I did everything I was told by the staff, but they still were trying to make it out as if it was my fault, and that I should be grateful to receive the 40rgt. Also, according to them, it's on me, for choosing affordable accommodation, and bedbugs should be expected. There were other smaller issues, like dust everywhere, unclean lavatories and a young man, who I suppose was in charge of cleaning the rooms, just casually laying on one of the infested beds in the room I was supposed to stay in. Can't recommend. PS: I threatened to ask my friends and other travellers to also write bad reviews if I didn't receive a refund. Only then did I get the 40rgt, in exchange for not doing so, but I have to at least post my...
Read moreThe place is far from what I expected. HORRID ROOM AND HOUSEKEEPING - where to start? Stains on the bathroom tiles, bidet and shower hose. Mould is clearly on it! The TV is ridiculously placed high up at the ceiling which strained my neck. No complimentary water bottled and soap. No room service at all. The bathroom is really small for a guy like me. The villa is located near a busy street full with Indian immigrants so I can hear them shouting and cursing early in the morning. The staffs are not really friendly and unable to understand simple English. BEWARE - PLEASE ASK THE PAYMENT RECEIPT ONCE YOU HAVE MADE THE TRANSACTION. ONE OF THE STAFF WILL DELIBERATELY CLAIM YOU HAVEN'T SETTLED THE REMAINING OUTSTANDING FEE. You must stay firm on your ground!!! There is a female quarters available. Not sure about unisex quarters though. The wifi is available only at the lobby and it is a weak connection. The good side, the villa is located in the heart of Georgetown. All scenic and heritage sites are accessible with walking distance. Do not try to drive along the narrow road, it is packed with cars and pedestrians. Walk or...
