Most people takeaway, and being an egg omelette type of oyster omelette as opposed to the crispy sort I suppose it's ok. However I always choose to dine in.
The oysters are plump and there is little starch used, which makes it less greasy and cloying. The chilli is sour enough but without this over-intense cheap vinegar taste that sometimes overwhelms or luak from other vendors.
There are only a couple of tables. You have to pre-order on WhatsApp and come at a pre-agreed time, neither too early, not too late with a come about 15mins earlier note, just in case they're ahead. If you come too early, you will have to wait till your appointed slot unless through some sheer luck, they have some spare slots.
Warning, if you dine in, you will have to tolerate. 1. Dripping air conditioners, and associated spray should you be so lucky to experience a slight breeze. 2. Crows and/or mynah's lurking and flying overhead and the associated droppings. 3. Rats running around even in the day time. 4. Limited seating. Only 2-3 tables are available. You will have to stand if all occupied.
Such is the experience dining in. If you can't, dapao. Grab, close your eyes (metaphorically)...

We successfully pre-ordered the JB Fried Oyster @jb_fried_oyster via WhatsApp and decided to try ours on the spot! While not quite overflowing as per social media (probably cos we did not order the supersized version), the portion of fresh & creamy oysters is generous for their standard plate at 13 MYR! Omelette belongs to the fluffy category with slight crisp edges, while not overly oily or starchy. Chilli has the spicy and tangy kick to complement the generous portion of oysters, though we would prefer a thicker consistency! . 📍 Address: 37 Medan Selera Meldrum Walk, Johor Bahru, Malaysia. Initially ordered through WhatsApp in the morning; but was told it was fully booked for the day. Dropped by the stall about 3.30PM, to try my luck. Sellers were very friendly and advised that they would notify me if should there be enough remaining oysters for me after 6PM. Was very lucky to snag the last remaining oysters.
Ordered 2 plates of fried oyster omelette - spicy & non-spicy each. Chef took great pride & attention in cooking his fried oyster omelette. The oysters were fresh, plump and juicy, about 8-10 of them; enhanced by the fragrant of the omelette. Must eat on the spot … there & then! Most satisfying!
Overall, it was a delightful plate of food - all for just RM$13 per plate.
