Bak kut teh is nice (however the soup is not very hot in temperature) will definitely be a 5 stars if the soup is warmer. The bak kut teh is not peppery or herbal, it's really taste of teh itself, it has it's own unique fragrant which is not overpowering and easy to drink. It's quite special as usually the bak kut teh which I go will be either peppery or herbal variation, however this has the teh taste itself. The meat is also soft and tender, easy to chew and the pork rib they uses is smaller ribs which is easy to bite. The sesame chicken is also another not to miss dish, it's has the old school "ah ma" traditional taste, the gravy is filled with ginger fragrance. Might not be suitable for those who do not like ginger as the ginger taste here is above...
Read moreI would give a negative 10 stars for service if its possible. Horrid service and it will be my last time here. Asked for extra soup is like begging them when i am the customer. Their management likes to stinge on simple things likes garlic, chillie , dark soy sauce and light soy sauce, but missed out the fact that being so stingy on all these things will turn customers away and lose revenue. Their poor service (simple thing like adding soup) need to wait 10 mins. Omg, the eating experience here is demeaning, horrid and disgusting experience due to their poor service. To my Singaporean friends, there are many other better bkt out there with better service and generous servings, no need to beg...
Read moreBak kut teh is average, got better ones out there. Instead, I highly recommend the 黄酒鸡, very savoury, strong wine tastes that linger in your mouth with tender chicken pieces. If you like 红糟鸡 or wine dishes, you’ll surely love this!! Price quite reasonable, all dishes are 1-2 portion size, quite small. The 咸菜 is not as soft as I would like, some thick parts still crunchy, taste is okay. Not in the picture, boss lady recommended us the assam fish, it’s really 开胃 and fish is fresh, so give it a try if you can. Herbal tea is freshly brewed daily, nice pair with bak kut teh. Overall still a nice dining experience, will be back...
