Check in: 30-31/8/2023 (2D1N) Booked through: Marriott Bonvoy Room type: Deluxe Twin 2 Doubles Price: RM270/night Cleanliness: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Facilities: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ View: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Staff: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
We arrived at the hotel at 12:45pm. There are two lobbies, the arrival lobby on the ground floor. But for check-in, you need to go up to the 7th floor. I was told that the room was ready, so I was very happy because I could check in early. The normal check-in time is 3pm. The front desk staff were very polite. The check-in process was smooth. No deposit required.
On the way to the hotel, I chatted with the front desk through the Marriott Bonvoy app to request a room on a higher floor with a view of PNB 118. Alhamdulillah, I got the 19th floor. The hotel has 20 floors. As a bonus, I can also see KLCC and the KL Tower. TRX Exchange is also clear from the room. The view here is very satisfying. As soon as I entered the room, there was a cute cake slice. I didn't even request for cake, I just informed them that I wanted the best room view for my birthday. Alhamdulillah, the pandan gula melaka cake was delicious.
The parking system here is available for in-house guests from level 1b to 4b. There are many parking spaces. You need to validate your TNG card at the lobby and you will be charged RM5 per day. A maximum of RM10 per stay if you exit the parking lot every day. Public transportation can also be used, as the hotel is close to the LRT Pasar Seni station.
The room type is Deluxe Twin 2 Doubles. The room size is 301sf, so it's not too big or too small. The bed size is like two queen beds. It can fit 2 people on each bed. There is still room to spread a mattress if there are many children. There is also enough space to pray. The room also has a desk and chair of a medium size. 4K TV, the channels are average, not many choices. Internet speed is fast as usual. The paintings on the wall are beautiful! Appropriate to the theme of the hotel which is located in Chinatown. The view here is the best. The floor-to-ceiling glass wall is attractive to me because it makes the room look spacious. And there is also a space to sit if you are not afraid of heights. I didn't close the curtains at night because the view of the lights of the skyscrapers outside was beautiful.
The room is very clean. From the lobby to the room, it smells very fragrant. The bed is very comfortable, and the pillows are also comfortable. There are 4 pillows in the room. I requested for an additional 2 pillows and blankets. The iron board and iron are provided in the closet. No robe. There are also 2 pairs of slippers. There is no prayer mat, but you can request one. The direction of the qibla is in the drawer next to the bed.
The bathroom is also clean. No bathtub. Floor mat, bath towel provided. 3 towels are available, if not enough, you can just request housekeeping to deliver. The shower pressure is strong. There is a hand bidet next to the toilet bowl. The shower cream, shampoo, and conditioner smell good, I like the fresh smell. Toothbrush, toothpaste, shaver, shaver cream, cotton bud, brush, shower cap are usually provided. Hair dryer is also provided in the bathroom.
The swimming pool is on the 7th floor, same level as the check-in lobby. The gym and Jann restaurant are also on the same level. The pool is open from 8am to 8pm, I think. From the restaurant by the pool, the view is very beautiful. You can see all the skyscrapers. Those who want to try skydining can dine in here. Opposite the lobby, there is another restaurant, Lady Yi's teahouse, for afternoon tea or just to enjoy a cup of coffee.
Checkout was also very quick, just dropping off the key card. The invoice was sent by email. Thanks Norhaslina Yussof for the experience. Overall, I was very satisfied with my staycation this time. The staff are very polite and always...
Read moreThis is my 3rd time staying in the suite but unfortunately the worst experience. I've also booked superior and deluxe room during this trip but below are my personal experience from the suite.#1. Housekeeping did a bad job with the bathroom over the 4d3n that we were there. Toilet stank of pee and shower area was not cleaned (I'm pretty sure bcos the bathtub in the shower area had a thin layer of water which remained untouched.) On the 3rd day we saw the housekeeper and requested for him to clean the toilets properly but we still came back to smelly toilets. The only time the bathroom was clean was when we first checked into the room.#2. The doorknob of the inner door dropped on my foot when I opened it. I have a very active 4 year old and 1 year old twins exploring the place, I can't imagine what would happen if it dropped on them. #3. On the 1st night after midnight, bathroom started to reek of smoking smell. We thought it was just us being tired however the smoke smell persisted till morning but we were heading out so by the time we got back and settled down, it was pretty late. My husband went down to the lobby around 1am to inform about this but response given was "I've never heard of this before." Okay fine, so on day 3 when the doorknob dropped and we called the front desk, we told them about the smoke smell again but nobody came to check on the situation at all. Doorknob handled but smoke smell, nobody bothered about it. Extremely disappointed with the way this matter was handled.#4. I've given feedback about this since the 2nd time we've been there but nothing has changed. Upon check-in, I've requested for late checkout as the kids have to feed and was told that suite has been extended till 1pm however at 12+, we received a call reminding that check out timing is 12pm. How difficult is it to update in the system that checkout timing has been extended? Why do I still need to receive a call to remind that check out timing is 12pm?Only saving grace from this entire experience is how spacious the suite is and the bellboy, Faris, at ground floor - he always greets us with a warm smile and is extremely helpful. Thank you Faris. And also we requested for baby cots and bathtubs to be placed in 2 rooms, those were arranged accordingly - thank...
Read moreSheraton Plus: Quick replies in the app. As Titanium, we got a suite (not to be confused with a one-bedroom apartment). Cons: lack of sound insulation, terrible doors without closers, disgusting breakfast !, the watering can jet from a hygienic shower is terrible, like a Karcher pressure cleaner, mattresses are not comfortable in all rooms, pillows are not suitable for use in all rooms. It was our first time at this hotel and booked for one night. We checked in late, terribly tired from the road at 2:50 at night, went into the room and immediately went to bed, could not fall asleep until 3:10 because noisy music and bass from the bars came from the street, like a party in the room. The room was stylish and new. I especially liked the bamboo finish. This room had a comfortable mattress, unlike the other next room we got. We decided to take another five nights, changing the room to the other side. It is definitely quieter here, even though the view of the construction site, but it is almost inaudible. But in this room there was a poor quality mattress, every day the back felt worse. Breakfast. The most important thing is the Staff they are very unpleasant EVERYONE. Those faces look like they're doing you a favor. I think they can spit in food when no one is looking. Every day, someone dropped food on the floor near the buffet and no one cleaned it up! They didn't even clean it after my comment! All the food on your shoes constantly left with sticky soles from this place. We wake up at 9:00 and go to breakfast after this time replenishment is very poor. Many products ended at 9:30, for example, I could not catch a watermelon for three days. Scrambled eggs with a bitter burnt taste because they don't care for the pan. We meet such a terrible service for the first time, and we travel a lot to compare. Do not purchase additional breakfast if it is not eligible for your Marriott membership. I would return to this room again if there was another mattress, as my husband and I have a backache on...
