Rain Forest Hotel — Hotel in Kuala Lumpur

Pros:|- there was a water tank to fill up your bottles from;|- cheap;|- better than sleeping in the street;|- the staff were very kind and friendly, and I think they really tried hard.||Cons:|- bed linen was very old and worn, possibly not even fresh on or clean;|- bugs on the floor in the night, all scattered when I turned the lights on in the morning;|- the staff had workers in who started drilling right outside my room at 8am;|- communal sinks were full of food remnants (I guess from other guests);|- no hot water, so started both days with very cold showers;|- all electrical sockets were wonky and in inconvenient locations, which is strange for such a small 1-person room;|- the flip-flops provided were incredibly dirty, would’ve been much better not to provide any;|- the shower in the bathroom was a handheld one.||The staff took a 50rm deposit upon my arrival, and gave it straight back when I handed in the key. They didn’t check the room at all before handing back the deposit, whereas any places I have stayed in with good conditions would always check to make sure you left things in...

Stay here for good over 21 days..||It's a well located small comfortable hotel which have access to many food spots and also public amenities. All walking distance within 5 minutes.||Room is not big but comfortable with aircond and no bed bugs.||Some of the room are without toilets so need to use the common ones outside which is easy accessable and you wouldn't need to wait to use it.||Receptionist is clearly helpful and friendly. The go in length to explain on any questions when asked.||WiFi is still acceptable which sometimes will go off for a minute due to transmitter switching system jumping from one access to another. ||The whole place is well kept and clean. ||This was my second trip where the first one I did, I stayed a month here. ||Still have the good old feel. ||Oh ya.. It is along the red light area but the security for this place is good. So...

Initially booked a room with shared bathrooms, during check-in, the counter staff informed there was a room just near to the counter with attached bathroom but have to pay additional RM20.00. Took the room to avoid bathroom crowded as many guests were taking part in Stand Chart Marathon.

Room was small but clean without window but it's okay for me as I only need a room to sleep. Show gel, shampoo and towel were provided. There is a pub at the ground floor, could heard some music noises in the room at night time and also people talking at the counter.
