Lorong Petaling, better known as Petaling Street in Kuala Lumpur, offers a vibrant and culturally rich experience for both locals and tourists. This bustling street is famous for its lively atmosphere, traditional Chinese architecture, and an array of street vendors selling everything from fashion, souvenirs, electronics, to local delicacies. The red lanterns strung across the walkway give it a unique and nostalgic charm, especially at night when the street comes alive with lights and energy. Food is a major highlight — you’ll find delicious Chinese snacks like wantan mee, roasted duck, muah chee, apam balik, and herbal teas at very affordable prices. There are also halal options nearby, making it a great spot for all types of visitors. The vendors are generally friendly, although bargaining is expected when buying goods. One point to note is that the area can get very crowded, especially during weekends and holidays. It’s advisable to keep an eye on your belongings. Cleanliness has improved over the years, but there’s still room for better waste management. Overall, Lorong Petaling is a must-visit spot if you want to soak in KL’s heritage, shop affordably, and enjoy street food in a lively atmosphere.

A hidden gem tucked within the bustling streets of Kuala Lumpur, Lorong Petaling 2 offers a glimpse into the city's rich heritage through its beautifully crafted murals. The artwork here highlights old trades and cultural elements, preserving the nostalgia of the city's past while adding a modern artistic touch. The alley is well-maintained and provides a unique backdrop for photography enthusiasts. Whether you're a history lover or a street art admirer, this spot is worth a visit to experience the creative fusion of tradition and contemporary expres

Honestly, I never expected to see such a beautiful mural in Petaling Street which shares so much about the Chinese heritage of this place in the early days. Located away from the core area, this "Lorong" or lane is perfect for taking photos and understanding the culture here. Best time to visit is in the morning and try to avoid weekends of you dislike crowds.

A short walk off the main Chinatown area. This is a newly renovated and painted stretch of a short street with a full wall painting of Chinatown in the old days. Really worth the walk to come here to see the painting and for photos. It's a pedestrian only lane, so no cars can get through this lane. Check out the view of the Merdeka 118 building also from the...
